About me
Hello, I'm Holly Andres, and I have been practicing for over 27 years since Master's degree and over 24 years with my clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I currently practice in Nevada, since November of 2001, and had previously practiced in both Missouri and Kansas.
I completed an intensive fellowship in Cognitive Therapy at The Overkand Park Center for Cognitive Therapy from 1994 thru 1998. I have additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) @ The Maiberger Institute in Boulder CO , 2014-2015. I also have training specific to gambling addiction (2006) as well as addictions for substance abuse, including alcohol (1996-2000) .
I truly enjoy working with teens and have done so my entire career, whether in outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric or residential psychiatric settings. I have worked with couples and families throughout my career in a variety of settings, and enjoy this work. My full history can be found on the internet under my name, Holly A. Andres, MSW, LCSW.
My style is warm and open without judgement. Teens like my approach and appreciate that I keep their sessions confidential and private. I have clear boundaries and am very clear about my role and how I communicate. I view trust as the cornerstone of Therapy, and believe that minor clients deserve privacy and confidentiality and to be informed about the limits of privacy and confidentiality and never having to second guess if I have revealed anything to their parents, as I clearly review that in my first sessions, noting I will tell the teen if it is a mandated reporting issue, or a very dangerous situation, before I speak to their parents. Otherwise, I view my role as assisting a teen process their feelings and assisting them with making better choices; I do not see my role as being an inside spy to extract and give information to parents.
I welcome the opportunity to meet new teen clients and am honored to walk alongside them in their emotional struggles, assisting them to find answers that work for them, and to make the best decision.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Holly Andres. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
I appreciate how her intake session was very helpful at holding space and listening while I was able to emotionally release. I’m looking forward to see what else we can delve into since I’ve barely started on this arc. Thank you.
I have had a great experience with Holly so far. She has been so helpful and challenging, in a good way. I am grateful for her services.
I have been to several different therapists throughout the years (generally would have to switch because my job requires travel for extended periods). Of all the therapists I've had, I've found Holly to be the absolute best. I have never had anyone be able to read into the details of my feelings and dig as deep as she has. She helps me see things I didn't even realize about myself or my life. She's helped me tremendously with my grief and depression. I look forward to our meetings every week. She knows her stuff and I'm thankful we were matched.
She is very nice and respectable. Very good at listening and helping with problems
Holly has been absolutely great so far she is attentive and really shows a genuine concern. She makes sure to communicate timely and makes our sessions feel like a true priority.
Holly so far has been great. I look forward to further sessions with her and am excited to work more with her
She is wonderful! She truly listens to what I have to say and gives amazing advice while making me laugh even during sensitive topics and it’s so so helpful and appreciated!
I have only had one session with her so far but she seems very professional and non judge mental especially with topics that were hard for me to talk about. Will be seeing her again.
I enjoyed working with Holly. She asks the hard questions and doesn't sugar coat. This was personally what I was looking for because I like my way of thinking to be challenged. It helps me accept and come to terms with my situation and myself much faster.
Very helpful and professional
Holly has helped me so much! I’ve gone through a lot this past year and she has helped me cope with it all. She also helps me think about my actions and what I can do to fix any issues I have. She also checks up on me constantly, which is really nice. It makes me feel important, seen, and really cared for by her. I trust her expertise. I’ve had therapists in the past and they didn’t have the same effect she has. She’s very comfortable to talk to and gives great feedback.
Holly has been helping me through a lot of medical/chronic illness stress. Its helpful having someone who understands chronic illness ♡ I appreciate her help as i navigate the healthcare system, the rollercoaster im on as a mother, and processing my grief and frustration as i search for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you!
I have communicated via text with Holly several times, and have had one live phone session. Though our relationship is new, I find my interactions with her to be respectful and easy. She finds a great balance between open and relaxed yet professional. I feel that we are off to a great start and look forward to our coming sessions.
Holly is a skilled therapist. She listened to me when I was going through a very difficult time and recommended books/work for me in between sessions that was extremely useful. I am very thankful for Holly!
She’s great.
She is a great therapist, makes time, for you no mater how your work schedule maybe.
Holly is wonderful. She’s honest and helpful. She’s gently insightful. I suffer from anxious thoughts and feelings, Holly is not extremely considerate, personable and gentle in her approach. I trust Holly to help me. Holly is the reason I recommend teencounseling.com because the app is buggy, but I preserve with the technology issues thanks to how helpful Holly has been for me.
Holly is great for my child. She is also great for our family. She is very understanding and responsive to our child’s needs. Thank you for helping.
Holly is a rock star. She listens to me and understands the issues I'm working through. She is invested in me and that makes a huge difference to my mental well-being. Whenever I share a journal entry, Holly always answers with insightful comments and suggestions for further reading or watching. She is very thoughtful and accommodating in arranging sessions despite a time difference. I would unreservedly recommend Holly as a therapist - I look forward to our weekly sessions and am growing and changing as a result.
After one visit I feel comfortable with Holly. I look forward to meeting with her next week.
This platform is so great
