Hey there! My name is Heath
I appreciate your courage to seek out help. I have enjoyed working in the mental health field for 6 years now and I'm licensed in the State of Ohio. As a counselor I have the most experience working with children and adolescents from different backgrounds. I have experience working with an array of issues including depression, self harming, anxiety, anger control, and substance abuse. I also have some experience working with ADHD, ODD, family problems, and grief and loss.
My approach is very person centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused. I have a genuine personality, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a friendly demeanor. I believe the most important factor is the client-counselor relationship. It is within this relationship that a person can begin to heal, find hope, and be encouraged through the change process.
If you are ready to receive help I am happy to be supportive and empower you through the process.

As the parent of a teen in Heart's care I can tell you that this man is top notch. He really listens and offers solutions based on what he's hearing that are doable and make sense. He is not only great with patients but he makes a point of communicating with us as parents so that we can collaborate on finding a good way forward together. Heath truly is everything we could have hoped for. Our teen likes him, we like him, and we're seeing a ton of positive results.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Heath. My husband and I look forward to our sessions with him weekly. He listens thoroughly to both of us, shows respect but chimes in and gives appropriate responses, advice, things to think about and options when trying to figure things out within our marriage. He is never pushy and is sincere always. He takes the time for both my husband and I whether it’s a session together or separate. Would love for him to ask more questions and dig deeper into issues
All in all he’s great!
Dr. Heath is wonderful. He understands when I'm having days where i just need to get it all out there versus when I'm in desperate need of direction. He's been the most helpful therapist I've had.
Grateful for Heath using scripture to help me during our counseling. It is very important to me and helps to make this process more encouraging, a bit more comforting and sometimes even more challenging but in a good way.
Mr. Ridenbaugh is a very thoughtful, thorough, and patient therapist. I greatly value his input and advice. He goes out of his way to make you feel valued and important. Highly recommended!
Heath is probably the most active and respectful listener I've ever spent time with. He is thoughtful, insightful, deliberate, and genuine with how he values and communicates with me. I am very thankful for Heath and will object strongly to working with anyone else other than him.
I was seeing a counselor in person for a few months and I just felt like it wasn’t working for me. I wasn’t getting anywhere with it. After only two sessions with Heath, I feel that we have made a lot more progress than I did the whole course of my previous counselor. He pin points my exact needs.
Willing to help!
Heath is beyond helpful, attentive and has kind heart. He offers thoughts, advice and strategies to help you through whatever the issue may be. He responds to messages everyday and checks up on you to make sure your doing okay. 10/10 recommend him to anyone!
Heath was very calm and composed during our meetings which helped me enter a similar state which was nice. He went over time on a few of our sessions which made me feel like he actually cared, and he gave me that impression anyways. He was also proactive about checking in with me to make sure I made full use of this service.
Heath is working with my son who struggles with social skills as a result of his Asperger's/high functioning autism. He has a great report with my son and is easy for him to interact with. This is a life-long problem that my son will be dealing with, so expecting a quick fix isn't realistic.
Measuring success in the therapy field from a third hand perspective is all but impossible, so while progress has been slow, but I don't think I can necessarily blame Heath for that. I know he's focusing my son on the right things and he's getting him to question his behaviors. Given that he can't force my son to stop this or do that instead, what more can I expect?
From a parent's perspective, if you're looking for a kind counselor who asks questions, responds quickly, and interacts well with a teenage boy, I think he's a good choice. The simplicity of being able to call or message him as made the buy-in from my son a lot stronger because it overcomes the obstacle of the process being a chore or annoyance to him. I don't think there's much more important to success in therapy than buy-in and Heath made it easy for my son to do that.
Heath is a great choice for counseling, he listens and always has good ideas to help me with my current issues. He always makes himself available to talk and can work around your schedule. I would highly recommend him.
He is sensitive and kind. He gives practical, Biblical advice. He has godly wisdom and true concern.
Heath is a great counselor. Makes me think, look beyond and look for positive in the bad.
Heath is prompt and courteous. Listens well, I feel like he has a good grasp on my issues.
Heath is a good listener, professional, always on time, and helpful.
He's been great, asks great questions. Highly recommend
Heath has helped me significantly in dealing with my anxiety; he’s helped me approach it from different angles and has given me different tools to help me work through situations rather than just reacting or shutting down.
Heath and I just started our sessions but so far he is great. He knows how to listen well and ask pointed questions to what is harming me mentally. He applies these things back to a biblical example which helps me with perspective. He’s been great so far I look forward to continued sessions.
Heath Ridenbaugh has been a huge help to me in the last few months of using the app. He checks in with me every week and gives sound support and advice.
Heath and I have been working together for a couple weeks now, and he’s provided very thoughtful advice and well-researched resources. Excited to see what the future holds.
Heath is a great and supportive listener, very open-minded and good at sorting through my emotional, multi-directional rambling and calling attention to common threads. Our sessions leave me with plenty of food for thought. He responds to messages in a very timely manner and has been great about checking in with me when I go too long without being in touch. He also has a worksheet for just about everything, some of which I've found very useful. I feel very lucky to have been matched with such a great therapist so easily through this service.
Heath listens very well and provides great feedback as well as a very logical guiding hand in navigating frustrations. I trust his input.
Heath is a great listener and has provided me with a few excellent resources to assist me and my family. Thank you, Heath!
Heath has been a huge help for me and I would recommend him to anyone seeking help. We've been focusing on building confidence after past relationship troubles and I've already noticed steady progress. He's kind, intelligent, and always respectful. I truly feel like I can share anything with him and know that he'll be as honest and objective as possible. His approach to counseling is direct and solution-based which has led to quick results. I look forward to continuing to work with him.
He’s very patient and recognizes my crazy work schedule and is willing to work around it.
Heath has helped me a great deal. I’ve made many strides in life thanks to his ability to listen and suggest practical solutions. He’s a man of integrity and a genuine personality that’s easy to talk to. Truly a Godsend. Thank you, Heath!
Heath is excellant.
Heath has always been so kind and understanding with my situations of struggle and concern. He voices his opinions in gentle ways and has always provided me with steps to take to get certain things resolved. I am highly satisfied with the service he has given me and would definitely recommend him to any friends or family of mine.
Thank you! I appreciate your time and compassion.
Heath has been fantastic. I have been in counseling before with several different providers Heath has been my favorite. He was responsive, attentive, and properly challenging. He shared worksheets that were both relevant to my situation and insightful. While neither Heath’s verbal advise or the worksheeets directly solved my problems, both encouraged personal reflection. It was in that personal reflection where practical solutions were found.
Thank you, Heath.
