About Me

Greetings!
You are a brave individual to have identified a problematic issue/issues in your child's/teen's life, and then seek assistance to make changes that will move them toward the person they want to be. My name is Gretta, and it is an honor to be considered as a potential partner on your child's/teen's journey. I, myself, struggled when I was a teen and was a client in counseling for about a year and a half of my teen years. I know what it is like to be on the other side of the client/counselor relationship and I am able to help clients problem solve different areas of their life.

I am a mother of 5 children. I have 4 sons and 1 daughter. I was raised in Idaho and have lived in Wyoming for 10 years. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, gardening, and being outside as much as possible. I am a Wyoming based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 4 years experience working with clients dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety/panic attacks, life changes, relationship challenges, family conflicts, grief and loss, and parenting issues.

My style of therapy is warm and personal. I work by getting to know you as a person since you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that are going to work for you. I will treat you with sensitivity, respect, and warmth by getting to know you as a unique individual. I like to use client centered therapy and let the client guide the counseling session.

Finally, I view the therapeutic alliance as a partnership requiring mutual trust, respect, honesty, communication, and commitment to do the work. Hopefully, what I have shared here will help you select the best fit for a therapist. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you/your child/teen.

I feel Gretta is a great fit for my daughter and it has been very helpful to have her. Having the option to text or call or video chat is also a great option! Gretta has been helping my daughter through some tough times and I am grateful to have her to help!

She was helpful to me from day 1. Gave me the perspective I needed to hear in order to move forward. This is all new to me and the struggles I have are still fresh, but everyday I feel like my investment of seeking help was worth it. Like a stitch sewn in everyday to help me heal.
