About me
I am a licensed professional counselor doing business as Jones Professional Counseling, LLC in Conway, Arkansas. I graduated from Hendrix College in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I earned my master’s degree in professional psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 1998. My grandfather, who in addition to being a terrific companion in any outdoor activity, was one of the first PhD psychologists in the state of Missouri. He was very influential in my decision to become a licensed professional counselor. I, too, love spending time in the outdoors.
For more than 23 years, most of my work has been with youth and adults who have personal, family and/or relationship issues. I find that using combinations of the individualized cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with the Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches have been the most effective and useful therapeutic tools for my clients.
After earning my master’s degree in 1998, I began working with emotionally challenged youth at Boys’ and Girls’ Town in St. James, Missouri where I helped my clients individually, with their families and in groups to develop the skills they needed to help them successfully deal with their issues such as oppositional or conduct disorder, anxiety and low self-esteem as well as the various forms of abuse they may have experienced. This involved providing parents and foster parents the support and guidance they also needed to care for their children who had behavioral and developmental issues such as autism or ADD/ADHD.
Like my grandfather, I have gained much wisdom and much satisfaction in helping children, adolescents and adults. My work experience has led me from helping emotionally challenged youth in an outdoor setting to helping children, adolescents, adults and their families in inpatient and outpatient settings that included psychiatric hospitals, my private office, their homes, and virtually online with Better Help, Incorporated.
Respectfully,
F. Dunn Jones, MA, LPC, NBCC

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Francis Jones III. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
I wish I’d started therapy a long time ago!!! teen counseling is where it’s at. From the first session I have felt heard and so so so much better. I feel in control of my life and happy, that combination has been rare in my life. Thanks Francis!

Great Therapist
Listens to my concerns but also provides usable feedback towards addressing them. Keeps us on track by sending reference materials and worksheets, which is helpful so I'm engaged throughout the week in working towards a healthier marriage and self.
Love the convenience and my therapist
Very calming and understanding. Really helped to give me a better outlook on navigating relationships with family and how to view things in a constructive way.
I just recently started back up with Therapy after years of avoiding it thinking I can handle things on my own. It has been great to get with a therapist that will take the time to listen and acknowledge what I'm going through. He is great.
He's one of the few good ones I've seen. He really does listen, care and understand. I'd definitely recommend him.
Only had 3 phone calls with him and I must say he has helped me so much. He has good advice and takes his time to ask questions and to listen. I would definitely recommend him to everyone
He does an excellent job listening and understanding my problems. He always provided helpful insight that helps me understand myself better and paints a clear picture of what I need to focus on.
He is excellent.
He is understanding and empathetic.
He is a real person with real experiences. He is a good listener, he has to be with the way I talk a million miles an hour. Mostly, I am a good judge of character, and I feel he cares about what he does and trying to help. You cannot be good at anything that your heart is not in and I think his heart is in this 100 percent.
He has been supportive understanding and helpful. He has provided me with the tools and support to help myself
