About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by school, family, friends, or dating problems? Struggling with self-esteem or loneliness? Are you needing a place to sort through difficult thoughts, feelings, and challenges without fear of judgment?

My name is Erin Lofties, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my master’s at Oklahoma City University, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at the University of the Cumberlands. My background is in community mental health and trauma, especially domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual abuse. I have experience treating clients in their teens with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more. I understand that being a teenager comes with a lot of challenges, especially nowadays. I enjoy helping young people navigate the challenges of every day life, as well as tackling big issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in session, but above all else, I practice Client-Centered Therapy and believe in empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. You are a person first to me.

In our conversations, I want to get an idea of what you are struggling with, but I also want to help you identify your strengths, your goals, and your support system. Together, we can make challenges less overwhelming and help you get back on track.

I feel very comfortable opening up to Erin. She is compassionate and caring, and provides a safe space for me to feel like myself in.

I have been working with Erin only for a few weeks now. We have had one counseling session through the video chat, which was helpful. In the meantime, she made sure to stay updated on what is going on with me and offer help and advice when needed through messages. I look forward to working with Erin in the future, as I think that her ability to easily empathize and actively listen to me will be extremely helpful for me. Not to mention that she is very nice, and has made the conversations comfortable and easy.

Erin has been truly fantastic! I was a little bit of a sceptic initially that counseling would help me see past things and make life easier after an overwhelming point in my professional and personal life that I could not see past and Erin has most certainly proved me wrong. Erin has the utmost professionalism and understanding providing clear methods and support. I have learnt so much about myself, my past, others and life. I have come to such a good understanding of how to be more assertive for what I need or do not need to do and the reasons for why and how to manage certain situations that have seemed unmanageable and what to try if not feeling manageable. Erin has such a positive influence that has helped pour back some life and hope into me after our sessions with her kind, valid, genuine, relaxed, appropriately cheerful but objective approach. I would say I am still working through things, but have every confidence to absolutely recommend Erin to anyone from the time I have benefitted from her counsel.

I feel super lucky to have met Erin on this site. She's kind, open-minded, patient, and I really feel like I can tell her anything without fear of being judged. She's always offered me positive perspectives and is very encouraging with my goals and successes. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Erin helped me so much in my time of need. When nothing else was helping she gave me listening ear and guiding suggestions to get my life together again after devastating news. Never going back to traditional therapy!

Work with me!
