Dr. & Mrs. Ebony Baker-White

(EdD, LPC, CAMS)

About Me

My Name is Ebony Baker-White and I am a Licensed Professional counselor in Georgia and have been practicing for 11 years now. At the age of 25 I became a foster parent and have fostered over 30+ children throughout my home. When I was 26 I adopted 3 teenage girls who are now adults. I have 4 biological children that are still at home. One of the things I noticed is that NONE my children came with a book of instructions and they were all so different. I understand that as a parent, you may be feeling frustrated by your child's behavior, or perhaps countless efforts to try and connect with your teen left you feeling discouraged. Maybe you've noticed a change in your child's grades, mood, or sleep patterns and are filled with worry. There are a number of reasons why a family may seek counseling. I want to listen to your unique concerns and work with you and your child to tackle what may be at the root of the concerning emotions or behavior.
I have been a practicing counselor for 11 years and I specialize in helping children and adolescents overcome social and emotional challenges that could be impacting other areas of their lives. I enjoy guiding children as they learn to identify and express new emotions in a healthy way, and I have a passion for helping teens process some of the overwhelming pressures they often feel as they head into young adulthood.
I frequently give lectures and speeches in regards to parenting, ADHD,social media, adoptive children, and foster children. I am currently a peer board member of the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
To help parents, I also like to include activities and provide tools that you and your child/teen can work on together at home. As a parent, you are your child's biggest support system, and I want to help support you along your child's journey as well. Together, we can set individualized goals and work towards long term change.

Dr. Ebony has helped me so much! she listens, is really understanding, offers amazing insight, and such a great counselor! In the little time I have talked with her, she has helped me in so many ways and I am so glad that I was connected with her. She also provides great resources and insight. I am LGBTQIA+ and she helped me a lot especially with finding groups like me to talk to! She is a great counselor and you would be lucky to talk with her. :) She also helped me realize that I struggled with disordered eating and show me the path to recovery! She is amazing and thank you so much Ebony!

I have been seeing Ebony for a year and it was one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. Getting therapy and also being lucky to have a great therapist are things I greatly appreciate in my life. Ebony really listens to you and reminds you of the good things in your life while also working on the areas you want to improve. I cannot recommend her enough, she has helped me overcome a lot of obstacles. Thank you Ebony!

I love her talking to her has helped me and so many ways she listens and gives the best advice anyone can ask for within our first session I know I wanted her to help me threw my situation and let me tell you it's been great.

Her approach is not something I have seen anyone use on me before. It's a new experience. A good one. She doesn't focus on the past. I mean, she looks at the past as a cause but doesn't make me feel terrible about it but rather trying to help me move pass it. Surprisingly it doesn't give me the feeling uncomfortable such as indirectly triggering me to feel shame or guilty of my past mistake. She is not an overly cliche who tells you to try to talk things up with your family. I mean she suggested and asked why I don't want to do that and I explained to her. When it come to this point, many still insist on talking, but she accepted that I have passed that point and should move on and focus on other methods such as planing for my future to walk away.

Dr.Baker made this experience an ease to come into. She has casual conversations with you to help you feel comfortable and she’s really focused on what you have going on and how it’s affecting you. Majority of the time when I present her with a problem or issue I’m facing she has an immediate response or tip or something that will help me in that situation or to look at it differently . I love the authenticity she gives she genuinely loves helping people and it shows in her approaches and conversations. I would recommend Dr & Mrs. Baker-White to my colleagues and family members. She has wide range of backgrounds and experience that allows her to navigate more than one particular conversation or issue, whether it’s from spirituality to sexuality. I thoroughly enjoy each session with her and they are the highlight of my week sometime because I know at the end of our talk I will come out feeling better than I did going in.

When I first used teen counseling I was concernes that counsellor wouldnt understand me or would make feel guilty. Make me feel helpless. But when I met Dr. Baker-White that belief changed. She is focused on my issues and gave me the tool to help that I am comfortable. She did not made me feel guilty and always recommend live session. If I need help I am sure to be always going back to Dr. Baker-White.

In the short time I’ve been in contact with Dr. Ebony, she has allowed me to really open up in a judgement-free zone. She offers quality feedback to my issues from an omniscient standpoint, allowing me to express and think clearly. I really feel like her consistency has helped me.

I absolutely adore Ebony! She is everything I need in a therapist and so much more! She knows my concerns and she’s helping me to tackle them one at a time instead of all at once. If you are a “spiritual” person, Ebony is your doctor!

This is my best experience of counseling and my hope is freshened about asking for help, getting results in a short time, also in a constructive way from the beginning. I really like her style, positive energy, sincerity, and also adaptiveness to cultural differences. I can count on her, and also I can remind myself in a much more confident way after our sessions that I can trust myself to handle things in a kind of crisis; this feels really good. Thanks to Ebony and to all the team behind the platform!

Since I was seeing Ebony as a psychologist, I was never fully aware of how she has impacted my life in a positive life. Because ever since she has appeared in my life, my life has turned out to be more and more positive. Today, upon reflection, this information moved into my conscious mind from my subconscious. She has always been, what I interpret, as my 'spirit guide'. Someone who doesn't tell you what to do but guides you in the right direction of questioning.

Dr. & Mrs. Baker-White is an excellent and caring therapist. I expected therapy to be something out of the movies where an unaffected individual listens coldly while taking notes, but conversing with Ebony felt involved and personal and helpful.

Even after a few short sessions, I’ve had many paradigm shifting breakthroughs, and it has brought much positive and transformative introspection and joy to my life. I have already recommended teen counseling because of her, and my closest friend is now in therapy because of it. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Baker and the incredible impact she’s had in my life in such a short period of time, and I hope that I can continue to learn & grow with her for many years to come.

Getting in touch with teen counseling was exactly what I needed and wanted. I got very lucky and was paired with a lovely therapist Miss Ebony Baker. I feel like we have known each other forever. Thanks, teen counseling and Miss Ebony
