Teens face number of relationship, social and emotional challenges in their daily lives as part of development. As therapist I can support adolescents in addressing these issue by equipped with them skills such as assertive communication, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and mindfulness etc. By providing safe , supportive environment and Evidence based therapy techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, expressive art therapy , attachment based therapy and trauma focused approaches I would like to help teenagers on their desire goals in order to improve their wellbeing.

I feel that my sessions with Dhruti are a good balance of me being able to talk out what I’m going through, and her responding with questions and practical tools that I can use to respond to challenges more effectively. I like being able to send messages when things come up for me between sessions, so I don’t forget and we can talk about them. I appreciate that she reaches out between sessions to check in with me.

I had no expectations. I am highly impressed! We tried Pawnee Mental Health my daughter left in tears and needed to talk 4 hours afterwards. I was over the moon happy with our experience. She was understanding of Hannah’s feelings, then drew her out in compassion and empathy. Her ability to help my daughter learn, grow and succeed is the best gift I have ever been given. I highly recommend her!!! It’s worth the effort, time and money.

I want to share very proudly that I am happy that I am able to achieve my Goal with which I joined teen counseling. Thanks to my therapist Dr. Dhruti Shah for that.

This was my first time going for therapy and I am glad that I took this step for myself. In the first conversation itself I was able to connect with my therapist so well that the initial hesitation of sharing my thoughts was gone...

Dr. Dhruti Shah has been always kind to me, listened to me patiently, shared with me resources which I can use, understood me so well and is very genuine.

She is well equipped and she gave me time to empty my thoughts and process my past hurts and traumas.

The day when I joined teen counseling I was in a very low state of mind and had very low self esteem and my therapist showed me how to change these thoughts and the confidence that I have in me now is the proof.

I now have resources that I have practiced and I can use in future whenever I am stuck again because life will always have it's ups and downs but now I feel I have the strength.

Also I am close to loving myself, I am aware and mindful of my thoughts because of which I am able to pull myself out of the negative thought cycle.

All this is because of the pure intentions and guidance of my therapist.

Dhruti is intuitive as well as having experience and knowledge grounded in theory. I don't have to try too hard to explain myself, she understands and offers peace in difficult times.

Very much the person I needed... She is non-judgemental and allows you to make decisions on the types of therapy you are comfortable with. She is wonderful at using illustrations in helping to understand things better. I have been through hard traumatic experiences in life and I'm glad to have Dhruti as she is helping to peal those layers at a safe pace for myself.

Dhruti is very knowledgeable and professional. She is kind, patient, and understanding. I never felt rushed during a session. She was always listening and was prepared to offer different exercises and worksheets that could help me. If a suggested exercise didn't quite work for me, she was always prepared to keep working to find something that did work. I also appreciated that we would look for improvement on a weekly basis. We celebrated my progress together. She motivated me to want to discover more about myself. She challenged me to question why I think the way I do and it was an amazing experience. This was my first time trying therapy and I am so grateful that my first experience was with her. I highly recommend her.

Dr Dhruti Shah was an immense help for me!

She didn't make me feel like a patient who was mentally unwell, but rather a dignified human being who has lost his way a little. She listens with full attention and intent, and her choice of words hit home. Her piercing questions go to the heart of the issue and I am left to connect the dots and answer my own questions. She also never tries to put names or labels on what I am feeling, which creates a safe space for me to express myself freely.

Rather than tasks or routines, she chose a dialectic and insightful style for me and it worked really well! I felt empowered after only a few months. She dispelled many deep misunderstandings and beliefs I had about myself. I am able to love myself much better and I am grateful to have been paired with a wonderful soul.

She is definitely a good listener I felt validated talking to her about my life and experiences. I started to look at certain negative emotions in a positive light. Genuinely grateful for all the workbooks and exercises she has provided me with. I've been taking therapy for 2 months from Dhruti. And it's been mostly an upward incline in my state, since I started therapy. Her experience shows in the way she listens to you, and is almost immediately able to tell why you've been feeling that way. Her belief in her patients is commendable and infuses hope. She has a very soothing and welcoming aura. She shares anecdotes from her own life which helps me connect with her more. She has helped me discover patterns in my behavior which I couldn't find even after my habit of over analyzing. Her suggested tips and techniques helps me navigate through my emotions and she always has more in case something doesn't work for me.

Dhruti truly cares about the clients struggles and combines multiple forms of therapy in order to combat said issues. She truly listens with her questions helping me open up to the roots of my problems, without letting me feel invalidated. She would assign goals and "homework" that helps rewire negative thought processes. After just a few sessions with her, I feel very optimistic about my growth and healing!
