My name is Deborah Jackson and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience providing counseling for adolescents and adults. I know that one of the hardest things in the world is admitting that you need help, and it is a mark of bravery that you have sought out counseling to help you address whatever issues are keeping you from having the life that you want. I know many people have been brought up to think they are not the type of person who seeks therapy, or that they should keep certain things private; and yet one of the most healing and beneficial thing you can do is take the time to invest in your mental health. I also know adolescence can be a difficult time due to hormonal, emotional and cognitive changes that are occurring. Together we can work to address the issues that are concerning you and create a plan for change.
I have worked with people experiencing depression, trauma, relationship issues, difficulties at school or work, uncertainty about the future and who are struggling with change. Some times people are unsatisfied with life but are not able to pinpoint exactly what is bothering them, or are struggling with committing to making the changes they know they need to make. My personal philosophy is that you are the expert in your own life. You know what is and is not working for you. My job is to partner with you to help you examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to find out what makes sense and what is no longer helping you to grow. Through a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Regulation, and Solution Focused Therapy we can help you master the skills you need to improve your quality of life.

I’m just beginning to speak with Deborah again after six months since our last session. I think that coming back to her again speaks volumes about how I felt about my first experience with her!
So far it has only been two weeks so they are just building a rapport right now. But I am happy with the way things are going.
She is great
Great listener and provides useful advice and tips to help work through chief concerns.
She is so easy to talk to. Right off the bat I felt comfortable sharing my stories with her and never felt like I was being judged for the things I’ve told her. She makes me feel safe and she’s helping me understand myself better than anyone else could. I’m happy she’s going to be a part of my healing.
Deborah has been so helpful in getting me to unpack my hurt and understand where things are coming from.
Deborah is a wonderfully professional and personable counselor who takes into account the needs of the person she is working with to reach solutions together and work through issues together. She also has helped me become more independent about my decision making by giving me a few vital tools to use when I am struggling. Thank you Deborah!
Me. Jackson is a wonderful therapist as far as I’ve seen. In the past, therapy has been hard for me but she makes it very easy to navigate. She is punctual and very attentive to my needs. I appreciate the effort and resources she has provided me in such a short amount of time.
