About me
I am a therapist licensed in New York with over 5 years of experience working as an eating disorder therapist. I have worked with and continue to work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and relationship issues. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
During my 5+ years treating eating disorders I have treated children as young as 7 years old up to senior citizens up to 80 years old that struggle with anorexia, bulimia, ARFID, binge eating disorder, etc.
I appreciate working with all ages however there is something to be said about working with young impressionable minds. I feel that teenagers are struggling with connections with themselves as well as others. They are still learning about their identity while trying to "fit in." I like working with individuals in finding who they really are to the core, being their most authentic and vulnerable and feeling comfortable doing so without judgement.
My therapy style is gentle and warm. I treat anyone that I interact with with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines CBT, DBT and ACT however I create treatment plans based on your goals. I will plan your treatment around your unique and specific needs.
It's a very brave decision to seek treatment for whatever ails you and my goal is to encourage and empower you on your journey!
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Danielle Deramo. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
We haven’t collaborated yet but she seems amazing, patient, capable, confident and highly qualified.
Look forward to my weekly meetings knowing it will be tough but rewarding at the same time. The tools I have been taught are helping me make progress toward my goals. Danielle knows when to push, when to validate and when to revisit.
Honestly, I feel very comfortable with Danielle. She really helps me find the roots of my issues and how to work through them. Highly recommend her as a therapist.
Danielle has been a great resource for me to go through the mental nonsense I have in my head.
Has a very gentle and supportive touch yet firm where it needs to be and I appreciate that.
Anyone new to therapy could certainly benefit from Danielle, and I'm even sure those who have been in it for a while as well.
So far so good
She is always so helpful and throughout the time I have been working with her, she has helped me through a lot of issues that I am able to be a bit better.
My original therapist was nice but not the right match for me. Upon some research I came upon Danielle and asked to work with her, and I'm so happy I did. She is a wonderful therapist who is compassionate, insightful, and beyond supportive. She has helped me overcome so many hurdles, and I am happy to say I am probably in the best mental shape I have been in in my life. Danielle and teen counseling have been such a blessing and positive addition to my mental health journey.
Danielle is kind, positive and supportive all in a helpful way. It's clear her intentions are good, and that is so important in therapy.
I’ve been working with Danielle for about two weeks now, I feel like she’s very good at listening to me and then taking my thoughts and turning them into actionable plans.
Genuine
Danielle is warm and understandable, very non judgmental and she helps me to understand myself more and see myself in a positive light.
Danielle is a great therapist.
