My name is Daniel Quintana, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I have over 6 years of experience working with adolescents, teenagers, and families. My work experience ranges from helping individuals in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, substance abuse and addiction, intimacy in relationships, sexuality, gender identity development, grief/loss, and trauma.
Teenage years can sometimes be overwhelming when having to balance the obligations of school and maintaining a social life. It's also an important time of development as one explores more of their identity, what their passions are, and what unique qualities they have and embody that contributes to their overall growth. Sometimes having the support of one's parents, friends, and community is enough, and sometimes we need to explore things in a confidential setting with someone that can listen and guide us to process and find solutions.
My approach is collaborative, empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate, and authentic. I believe everyone is unique and in our therapeutic relationship, I will work to create a container for safety, healing, and catalyst for change. My expertise and specialties are in Art Therapy interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
I look forward to meeting you and learning more about how I can help you during this very important time of your life.

Daniel has been such an anchor for me to explore my past present and future. He's so willing to listen and be patient as you explore your own mind, but offers helpful guidance when you get stuck. He's great at what he does and he is also a great person!
Daniel is a very good counselor and one of the best on here.
I feel that Daniel provides the platform to discuss the issues/concerns at hand whenever meeting or communicating. He also provides successful exercises and plans to work on alone throughout the time before the next meeting and has really been a pleasure to work with.
Daniel is kind, caring and incredibly compassionate. He takes the time to truly understand both my teen and my own concerns. I have a very strong level of confidence in Daniel's ability and his positive impact in the life of my teen. I strongly recommend Daniel to help your teen.
Daniel is an extremely good listener and offers very constructive and positive advice. I feel he truly goes out of his way to stop my patterns of negativity and uplift my entire life in a way that is true to me and makes me a better person.
I really enjoyed sharing my life with someone who could listen and understand. Daniel helped me gain perspective on my experiences and feelings. His feedback was very helpful and instrumental in my decision-making process, growth and enlightenment. He has helped me take better care of my mental health, and I appreciate that a lot.
Daniel is an excellent problem solver and always knows EXACTLY what to say and how to say it. Daniel is very knowledgable and hands down the best therapist I have ever had. He really pays attention to what you’re saying and is extremely effective at taking this information in and working with it to really help you out. I would recommend Daniel to anyone!
It’s been very helpful.
Daniel has been amazing in helping me through the things I wished to address in therapy. I have found myself to be so much more at peace thanks to him.
Thanks so much!
