About Me

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified School Counselor, and a National Certified Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten teacher. I earned my counseling and psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts with Faith Based clinical coursework from Liberty University, Lynchburg Virginia. I have been in practice for over 22 years as a professional counselor. My professional experience includes individual and family counseling utilizing various theories independently tailored to you as the member such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Faith Based Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Theory. I have a holistic approach to explore beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and negative patterns of behavior in an effort to guide and counsel in areas such as: Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, Grief and Loss, Parenting, Relationships, Post Trauma, and Addictions. As a clinician, I understand that mental health therapy is a collaboration between the client and the therapist, and it is within the client's inner strength where the key to success is discovered. My experience brings years of experience working with school age pre-teens and teenagers who also struggle with academics, isolation, self-confidence, peer pressure, social media, and anger management. I understand the struggles that parents are facing in today's society and I provide guidance to the family to better assist with home, school environment while implementing successful strategies.

Reviews

Written by J.O. on Mar 30, 2019 after counseling with Daisy for 3 weeks

Daisy listened to all of our concerns in detail and recommend us different ways to work around to confront them. She was always available and shows interest in our case. Even she remembered little details that we though were vague but those little details show us made a big difference between a simple couching and a professional counselor like her.
