About me
I have been a Licensed Master Social Worker for 25 years and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 2 years. I received my masters degree from Southern University of New Orleans with a concentration in children, youth and families. I have a broad range of experience with all ages of clients. I enjoy working with a variety of ages, problems and situations. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Behavioral Modification and client centered therapy primarily but often adjust my technique to meet the unique needs of my client. I have an easy-going, warm approach to therapy as well as life in general. I love to connect with others using empathy, listening and humor.
I have extensive experience working with elementary, middle and high school students to support academic, emotional, behavioral and social success when lesser interventions have not eliminated concerns. Assisted teachers in understanding the familial, cultural and community components of students’ responses to instruction, learning, and academic success. Provided direct counseling support to students experiencing social and coping skills, school adjustment, grief, trauma, or other types of mental health challenges, ADD and ADHD, including group and individual counseling, crisis intervention and teaching behavior modification techniques.
It is with much admiration and respect that I engage with clients in the journey to wellness and good mental health. I look forward to hearing your story and concerns and working to find solutions.

She is amazing at what she does.
I am pleased with my experience so far. I appreciate that my therapist keeps in touch with me even while my life is all over the place.
Your were very helpful but I going to find a male therapist.
Ms. Cynthia is amazing! She listens and answers all my questions. She explains things elaborately and makes sure I understand. Ms. Cynthia has boosted my confidence and has been my biggest cheerleader every step of the way. I have made huge progress with my Severe Anxiety, Agoraphobia & PTSD.
There is never a moment of silence during our sessions. She always has me thinking and talking and working my issues out! I have never had this level of confidence in my entire life and I owe it to Ms. Cynthia!
