About Me

Hello! Having raised 4 daughters and 2 sons, and having 14 grandchildren does not make me an expert on teens! But I have watched children grow through the most difficult time of life, and I tell all of my teenagers, that being a teenager is the toughest job in America. But it can be done successfully, as I see daily in my office, since about one half of my clients are teens and children. I receive weekly referrals from numerous pediatricians with whom I have worked with years and consult with them on client needs, both medically and emotionally.
Why would you share with me, a stranger who you have never met? Because everything you share is confidential; I won't be there at the family table, reunion or at the church service, with you wondering if I've told someone else in the room about your concerns. This is your room and you are in charge; together, we can find the solutions that I know are there. My role is not to criticize, lecture or impose on you my viewpoints. My role is to help you find what is best for you.
Hope to see you soon.

Curtis Spears is an incredible counselor! He listens to your concerns, addresses them, and makes you feel comfortable talking with him about them. He is very knowledgeable and has many resources to share. I am thankful we were paired with him and if we need to use this service again, we will be requesting him. I can't thank him enough for all he's done!

Curtis has been a light house in the middle of a very difficult storm. He has the capacity to listen compassionately and at the same time keep enough objectiveness to bring clarity, wisdom and guidance. His presence has been supportive and uplifting. It is wonderful when you find a professional that is not only full of wisdom and experience but also does his work with love and can also bring into it his most human dimension. Very grateful.
