About me

Life can be incredibly challenging, and it’s not always easy to know how to move forward when you’re hurting. As a therapist, my passion is helping people navigate those difficult moments with compassion, clarity, and a sense of deep support. Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan as they face anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic illness, and relational struggles.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II) and a Certified Grief Educator trained directly by grief expert David Kessler. I am also trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs while honoring their inner wisdom, strengths, and pace. Whether we’re working with protective parts through IFS, processing trauma with EMDR, or building new skills for emotional regulation, my focus is always on creating a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

My professional work is deeply informed by my personal experiences. As a mother of four and grandmother of three, a bereaved parent and daughter, and a chronic Lyme disease warrior, I understand firsthand how overwhelming grief, trauma, and uncertainty can feel. I’ve supported loved ones through ADHD, OCD, autism, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and trauma—which strengthens the empathy, patience, and authenticity I bring to my work with clients.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, being outdoors, exercising, and reading. These are grounding parts of my life that help keep me present and balanced.

I believe deeply in the power of being heard, understood, and supported. Reaching out for help is a brave and meaningful step. If you’re ready to explore your story, work through difficult emotions, or find new ways of moving forward, I’m here to walk with you. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your path toward healing, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.

I've been working with her for a bit over a year now, and she's amazing! She's very knowledgeable, very helpful, non judgemental, and explains things in ways I can understand. She's honest, and kind. She's also given me multiple resources and is committed to understanding me. 10/10, I recommend her to everyone I can.

Connie is amazing. She is incredibly kind and understanding. I started therapy a complete mess and felt like my life was spiraling out of control. In just a few short weeks, she has helped me more than any other therapist I have ever worked with. She gets to know you, is able to read between the lines in your conversation and quickly identify the main concerns. She keeps excellent notes, and is able to quickly pick up where the last session left off to avoid wasting any appointment time. She has a variety of tools and methods to help you work through whatever problems you may be having, and works with you to create a plan to actively heal your inner self. She also sends useful videos or links to help you understand more about the process or tool she may be using. She also teaches you things you can do on your own between sessions to help continue the work. I’ve had different experiences with therapy on and off for nearly 20 years and this is by far the most useful, affordable, and convenient. I would recommend teen counseling and Connie Winn to anyone.

Connie has been helping me through my trauma and has been very supportive and understanding of everything I have experienced. I always feel like I never have to justify why I feel a little dinged up or "broken" in my noggin when I am talking with her.

She provides a lot of resources and information, and I love when she gives me all of the information haul on things that could explain why I am experiencing certain things or what I need to know about certain methods of treatment. It doesn't feel like therapy at that point it feels like I'm in a very informative seminar on how to help myself. Or as if I'm having a conversation with a friend and getting "the tea" on something important and engaging.
