About Me

I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of Ohio with expertise in working with teens and adolescents. I see teens who may be angry, frustrated, worried, or just not happy. Sometimes teens experience these feelings because school is hard or maybe things at home are hard. I can help teens learn ways to cope with their frustrations and to communicate their feelings to others. I used to be a school psychologist and I currently train graduate students to become psychologists in the schools. I can help teens learn how to be successful even in the most challenging school situations. I specialize in working with teens with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and behavioral disorders, however, I enjoy working with all adolescents who may be struggling. If you are ready to take that first big step to ask for help, I will be happy to help you reach your goals.

Dr. McMahon has really helped me with my anxiety. I don't know where I'd be without her.

I was very nervous when I started teen counseling because I was afraid it wasn’t going to be worth the money since I wouldn’t be able to meet with my counselor face to face but my mind completely changed shortly after my first session. I can honestly say that Dr. McMahon is probably one of the best counselors I have ever had. I have always had a hard time with clicking with counselors in the past but it’s so easy to talk to her and I always feel a 100x better after my session. She has helped me a lot in the short amount of time that I have been with her. She is also quick to respond when I send her a message. I Highly recommend and am so thankful for her.

Dr McMahon is very kind. It’s almost like talking to things with a “mom” type figure. She has helped me sort through and validate some feelings from my career to my moods to my food choices and how several of these correlate with one another. I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. McMahon is so easy to talk to! She’s really able to listen to my concerns and provide some way for me to work through those by the end of the session. I look forward to working with her more!
