I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of Ohio with expertise in working with teens and adolescents. I see teens who may be angry, frustrated, worried, or just not happy. Sometimes teens experience these feelings because school is hard or maybe things at home are hard. I can help teens learn ways to cope with their frustrations and to communicate their feelings to others. I used to be a school psychologist and I currently train graduate students to become psychologists in the schools. I can help teens learn how to be successful even in the most challenging school situations. I specialize in working with teens with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and behavioral disorders, however, I enjoy working with all adolescents who may be struggling. If you are ready to take that first big step to ask for help, I will be happy to help you reach your goals.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Colleen McMahon. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Dr. McMahon is very personable and quick to respond to all emails. My son really likes her! Someone described her as a “mother figure” in another review and my son said that’s exactly what she is. He feels really comfortable talking to her. She is awesome!
Wonderful counselor. Highly recommend. Very focused, flexible, and professional. Felt like talking to a very knowledgeable friend. You'll love her.
So incredibly thankful to have found Dr. McMahon. She’s a wonderful therapist who allows me the time and space to process things on my own, but forces me to focus and reevaluate my issues in a different light. She’s very personable and easy to talk to. I love having her as my therapist!
Dr. McMahon is caring and actually listens to your concerns. She will give you ideas to help improve your well-being.
I was really stuck mentally in my current situation. I put off therapy for a long time. I am so grateful that I've been able to work with Dr. McMahon. She's helped me to see options to change my situation.
Very knowledgeable and responsive
Dr. McMahon has really helped me with my anxiety. I don't know where I'd be without her.
I was very nervous when I started teencounseling.com because I was afraid it wasn’t going to be worth the money since I wouldn’t be able to meet with my counselor face to face but my mind completely changed shortly after my first session. I can honestly say that Dr. McMahon is probably one of the best counselors I have ever had. I have always had a hard time with clicking with counselors in the past but it’s so easy to talk to her and I always feel a 100x better after my session. She has helped me a lot in the short amount of time that I have been with her. She is also quick to respond when I send her a message. I Highly recommend and am so thankful for her.
Dr McMahon is very kind. It’s almost like talking to things with a “mom” type figure. She has helped me sort through and validate some feelings from my career to my moods to my food choices and how several of these correlate with one another. I would recommend her to anyone!
