About Me

Hi there!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of IL with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings providing services to adolescents including residential treatment facilities, nonprofit organizations and in crisis centers. Currently I am one of the Directors at a behavioral health hospital and conduct thorough mental health assessments on adolescents who are struggling with a variety of issues including: suicidal ideations, self-harming behaviors, severe anxiety, bullying, dysfunctional family dynamics and mood dysregulation. I also have experience providing advocacy/case management to adolescents who have experienced significant trauma such as: sexual assault/abuse, neglect, being witness to domestic violence and to those involved in the youth foster care system.

I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and strive to build a trustworthy bond between myself and all of my clients. I come from a person-centered and solution-focused approach, allowing my clients navigate their therapeutic experience while remaining supportive as I gently guide them in their journey.

Chrissy has helped me so much in a very vulnerable time in my life. I have had some mediocre experiences with therapy in the past, but Chrissy has continually made me feel comfortable regardless of what I am feeling on any given day. She also checks in if I am distant to make sure I am okay which I really appreciate. Can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for her.

I’ve never felt so confident and excited to work through my mental health. Chrissy gives insightful advice and coping mechanisms and tools for me personally. She makes me feel comfortable, human, and like I can overcome my deepest challenges. I look forward to every meeting each week, as hard as it may be to talk about my truths. Highly recommend Chrissy and look forward to growing healthier with her as my counselor.
