About me
Hello, my name is Chijioke Robinson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a Master in Education . I have worked within various community mental health and educational environments. I have a strong desire to support individuals and couples who desire to explore and grow through symptomatic challenges of depression, anxiety, stress and more. This also includes but not limited to areas of family conflict, issues with attachment and adjustment, communication and various relationship conflicts. I am currently a high school counselor, which this environment has changed over the years. Students not only need academic guidance but mental health support. The pressures of peers, social media and family expectations often conflict. Students struggle with finding their own individual paths. I hope to support students and their family through this developmental stage.
I am a trained Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, which means I believe that our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are interconnected. Often, we are able to identify two out of the three regions but without the third region there will be a disconnect to realistically effect change. Within this approach, I will challenge you to become more aware of self and gaining control of all three regions equally. When you focus on external factors as a reason to feel, think and/or behave in any manner often causes a dependency on others to create the life that you want. I am a strong believer that you are the leader of your life and at times we lose site of that. Once you are able to take control of who you are and what you want out of life, it will be a place of empowerment for self and those you interact with.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Chijioke Booker. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
I've loved working with Chijioke.
I have the utmost respect for her, and, total confidence, in her counsel! I find our sessions, stress relieving, and, refreshing!
Chijioke is great at giving actionable steps towards growth and change. She also provides a safe space to share whatever comes to mind while also keeping me accountable of my actions and feelings when necessary.
I have tired multiple different therapist’s in the past but never was ready to fully see the true reason I was actually going to talk to someone to begin with. Therefore, I never committed.
Once I accepted that talking to a therapist would benefit me I skeptically downloaded teencounseling.com hoping for some clarity.... I am so grateful I did.... Chi has made me wish I downloaded teencounseling.com sooner. She helps me work towards a positive direction and I really am for the first time wanting to be able to do the work to find my self love again. I would definitely recommend her.
Chijioke helps me talk through all my concerns while keeping me laughing. She always understands where I am coming from and what I am trying to say.
I've seen a big difference in my child since he started sessions with Dr. Robinson. He's now opening up more. My child would always say he didn't want to speak about anything that made him feel uncomfortable. Dr. Robinson responds quickly to both my child and myself.
She listens and has an apt for identifying what issues you are really facing. She’s easy to talk to, down to earth and even has homework if needed. She’s a YES!
So far so good. I like her
