Hi and welcome! My name is Chami (Chay-me) Kane, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee. I have been working with families and children of all ages for the last twenty years, and I have a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Specialist in Counseling Education. I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, schools, and mental health agencies, but the majority of my time has been spent counseling kids from kindergarten through high school.
I have been married to my husband, Jon, for twenty years, and we have two miracle daughters, one in middle school and one in elementary. We also have two fur babies, Cookie and Cocoa. As a parent and a former volunteer youth director, I love to work with kids- especially teens, and I feel that it is a privilege to be able to do so.
My counseling style is warm and encouraging and a place where you can share hard things and still feel accepted. I am a good listener, and I will meet you and your teen where you are. I use a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral, rational emotive, and solution-focused, but it is tailored to meet your needs and help accomplish your goals for therapy.
You have already done one of the hardest things, which is taking that first step and reaching out! I look forward to learning more about you and your child while walking through this together.

Chami has been amazing with our teen son. His outlook is already improving after just a few sessions. So thankful we were paired with her. We have already recommended her to friends and coworkers.
Chami is a wonderful therapist. She is warm and understanding. I feel comfortable talking to her and can tell she really cares.
Chami is very sweet. She is really concerned about me. I couldn’t thank her enough.
Thanks for excellent work!
She’s a great person who listens and actually cares
Chami is an amazing listener and encourager. I really can't say enough good things about her and how well our sessions are going. I've gone to a lot of counselors and she is by far one of the best ones I've been to. I can be completely honest about my struggles without feeling judged by her. She accepts me where I'm at and helps me see my potential as well as what I'm currently doing well. I've already learned so much about myself as well as tools to navigate thoughts and feelings I've struggled with for a long time.
