About me

My name is Bruce Miller, I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background including people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss and relationship problems.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I very much like a positive and solution focused to therapy. I think it is important to view problems as an opportunity for building resilience by utilizing past strengths and successes. It’s my goal for clients to feel supported and enriched during and after each session. I like a person-centered approach meaning you are in charge; we go at your speed and things should always be comfortable for you during therapy.
What you can expect from our first session
My ideal age range is between 12 to 21. My teens and pre-teens typically tell me how much better they feel after one session. It's nice to get things off their chest, so to speak. Rapport building is vital initially and listening; I want to hear your story! I believe in a trust-based relationship and going at your pace as you are comfortable. Mostly, clients tell me they feel like they have chatted with a friend but realize there has been growth in the conversation.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, & intimacy related issues. I will listen and explore with you untapped strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage. Welcome and I am proud of you for getting started!

A therapist who truly cares and makes a difference. My partner and I were considering divorce, when we decided to seek therapy. We were fortunate to find Bruce. From the moment we started working with him, it was clear that his experience and expertise are exceptional. He has a remarkable ability to listen deeply, not just to our words but to the emotions and concerns beneath them. He created a safe, non-judgmental space where we could speak openly and honestly about our struggles.
When we faced an emotional crisis and needed support on very short notice, he made himself available, even though it was outside normal office hours. That level of commitment made a huge impact on us during a very challenging time. We are so grateful for the guidance and support he's provided. His calm, empathetic approach helped us to better understand each other and work through the complex issues that had brought us here. He’s a skilled, compassionate professional who makes a real difference.
