About me

Hello, I am Dr. Bridget Cabibi, a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida and also a Certified School Psychologist in the states of Florida and Pennsylvania, where I earned my doctorate degree (Psy.D.) with School, Organizational, and Family specializations. I have worked with individuals of all ages, couples, and families with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, emotional abuse, addictions, sexuality, spirituality, identity, anger management, stress, self-esteem, and life transitions. I have helped many teens, parents, and families overcome problematic dynamics within the family and begin to communicate more effectively. This improved understanding of each other brings families closer together. I have been involved in psychology on a national level and have taught students of all levels, including doctoral psychology interns.

My therapy style is warm, interactive, and engaged. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic, and client centered treatment. I create custom treatment plans for individuals in an effort to provide the best support for clients to reach their goals and grow toward their ideal selves. These will also be informed by the client's cultural background and personal and family history. It is very important to me that clients feel accepted, heard, and respected throughout our work together.

My role as your therapist is to empower you to change in a way that leads to a more meaningful, healthy and satisfying life. I believe therapy is a great first step in establishing support and movement in our lives. It takes courage and strength to start to overcome the roadblocks to achieving your hopes and dreams, and I look forward to providing a safe, supportive space for you to work to achieve your potential!

Dr. Cabibi is incredible. She is always there with amazing advice and knows how to lift my spirits. She truly helps me get motivated. She doesn’t make me feel guilty on the “bad days” and instead gives me ways to get back on track.

I truly enjoy the worksheets she sends me and how she motivates me to do my best.
She is easy to talk to and I always feel heard.

Dr. Cabibi is an incredibly supportive and professional person. She does an excellent job listening and is incredibly perceptive. Even when I would sometimes carry on and say things that seemed contradictory or incomplete, Dr. Cabibi would still be able to pick up on the core problem, sometimes even before I realized what I had said. I have found that Dr. Cabibi has a technique or a tool to solve any problem, and if it doesn't work perfectly for me at first, we find ways to adapt it. Because of Dr. Cabibi's support and guidance, I am able to get ahead of my mental health issues and address my problems more head-on and with more confidence. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Cabibi!
