About Me

Hello and welcome! First and foremost, I want to commend you in taking the brave first step and seeking help. I am glad you have found your way to this page. My name is Ashley Zook and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I discovered my passion for social work at Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I attained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Continuing with my education, I attended Florida Atlantic University where I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work and a certificate in child welfare. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy for adolescents. I am passionate when it comes to working with clients and helping them accept and overcome challenges they may encounter. I have worked with teens with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, academic concerns, grief & loss, relationship issues, self-esteem and behavioral difficulties. I have also worked with teens in the foster care system who have experienced complex traumas. I have participated in specialized trainings on trauma screening and assessments, childhood sexual abuse, child maltreatment, trauma, and self-injurious behaviors.

I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and building a strong relationship which will pave the way for healing, fulfillment, and positive growth. Witnessing the strength and resilience of an individual in overcoming challenges through therapy constantly inspires me and what drives me to continue showing up for my clients.

Ashley is amazing! She really takes the time to listen to my concerns & she’s always there to walk me through them. I’m always so excited to talk to Ashley because she’s calming and she’s intelligent. I feel a million times better after I talk to her. Plus, she’s really fast at responding to the messaging feature. I highly recommend Ashley to everyone!

This therapist is more than fantastic. She always gives me plenty of understanding and patience. When I’m talking with her, I feel I understand my situation 100x better than before I had worked with her. To me, she’s the best medicine! Thank you teen counseling!

My daughter took to Ashley almost immediately. Ashley is patient and a great listener and truly interested in my daughters well-being and progress. It is hard to match up a teen with someone they are willing to open up to but Ashley manages to do that!
