About Me

Hi! My name is Ashleigh. I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor in the state of Ohio (and soon to be licensed in Florida). I have over 13 years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also have worked with couples and families in individual and group counseling settings. I have worked in private practice, school, crisis center, and hospital settings. I have a great deal of counseling experience working with children and young adults in areas of grief/loss, depression, eating disorders, anxiety, family therapy and stress management.

My style of counseling is a client centered and solution-focused. I believe in providing a safe environment as a way to encourage open communication. I will walk alongside my clients to help empower them to help themselves feel better, find hope, and reach goals.

Here is some personal information about me: I have been married for 14 years and  we have 2 young children. I was born and raised in small town Ohio, but our family recently moved to Florida for my husband's career. I wanted to become a counselor after the experience I had in counseling during college. As a freshman, I had an extremely difficult time coping with being away from my family and the added pressure of school, working, and being an athlete. I became anxious, withdrawn, lost my appetite, and could not sleep. My counselor helped me overcome my anxiety and improve my health and refocus.  Today I cope with stress through exercise, finding time to do something I enjoy, and talking openly with my spouse and closest friends.
I have decided to enter the world of online counseling because I think it is a great option for those with busy schedules, lack of transportation, a transient life-style, or those who feel more comfortable emailing, texting, or chatting virtually.

I would be honored to help you establish and reach your goals to create a healthier you!

We are in the beginning stages and I understand nothing is a quick fix. My grandson likes her a lot and I think it will be a positive experience for him.

She’s an educated woman and because of her I’m learning to raise myself as the best version of myself.

Ashleigh is amazing. She’s very nice and compassionate. She listens to me. She doesn’t just want to shove therapy down my throat.. she is willing to work with me to find something that works for me. She texts me through out the week to check on me. I highly recommend working with her.

Ashleigh has been amazing! If I ever feel any type of anxiety I know I can count on her to get back to me as quick as she can. She understands my struggles and is helping me overcome them. I appreciate her time and advice.
