I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida for past 14 years. I have a background working in the emergency crisis setting as well as most recently in private practice. This experience has provided me the opportunity to work with all backgrounds of people ranging from addiction to geriatric. More specifically I am most experienced with depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, self-esteem building, grief and loss, and adjusting to life changes. I am very skilled working with teens and adolescents who are struggling with the challenges of the world. I also have experience working with family conflict and family therapy.
My approach to therapy is compassion and understanding. I like a caring environment that does not treat a person based on their labels but on the symptoms that are interfering with the daily functioning. The mode of therapy I like to utilize most is cognitive behavioral therapy. I combine this with rational emotive therapy, reality therapy, and mindfulness. I like to provide a humanistic approach; the goal being for the person to emphasize their true selves. I will tailor the goals of therapy to the specific needs of the client.
It takes courage and strength to look within yourself to provide the necessary changes to a more content and fulfilling life. If you are ready to embark on this challenge, I will be here to support, facilitate, and encourage you along the way. I look forward to meeting with you.

She is fabulous
Ann offers a wonderful therapy experience by always being patient, calm, and funny! She never failed to be able to get me to loosen up a little by just being cheerful and overall comfortable to talk to. I never felt judged or unheard, she takes the time to listen to everything you’re saying and thinks about it so she can give you the best response. She was super easy for me to connect with even on the first day, I already felt comfortable. She’s also very flexible with schedules, and was able to work with me to find a time that worked for me. Overall, a wonderful experience and a wonderful therapist. Thank you Ann!

Helpful and attentive. I feel I am confortable in having the ability to express my concerns and issues and each time I feel heard. She is always focused on what she can offer today to help you and keeps stock of what you can improve on from past conversations.
Ann is not only knowledgeable but provides so many options, is attentive and not boring! I LOVE that I feel like I’m talking to a friend and not necessarily someone who is checking a list or is impersonal. Lovely person!

Ann is very real and down to earth - which is exactly what I wanted. She is also incredibly easy to talk to! I was skeptical about counseling prior to becoming her client, however I feel I am actually listened to and being provided with thought-provoking tools that I can actually apply to my day to day life. I am already starting to feel a positive change in mindset and can’t wait to reflect after a few more months PD working with Ann.
For being the first time to talk to someone I don't know personally, she has been truly comforting and easy to talk to. I feel better after each session and look forward to working on myself to better myself.

Ann is a gem! Great counselor and wise advice
Ann Gleason definitely cares about her patients and is extremely respectful. I would like it if the length of the appointment was a little longer but that’s how good she is. She recalls what you talked about and finds ways to help you as an individual! She found ways to help me come with my cPTSD in constructive ways and I love it! It’s helped a lot! I highly recommend her!
Great therapist and the only one that I’ve stuck with for more then three weeks.
She listens, shows me new ways to cope, helps me understand my thought processes.
A great therapist! Skilled, empathic, knowledgeable!
