About me

I believe that life is precious, change is possible, and, in fact, inevitable. The teen years can be filled with obstacles, challenges but yet opportunities. Teens are learning more about themselves, how they fit in this world, their changing roles in the family and in society, what they want to do with their lives, learning about relationships with significant others and their peers, dealing with stress and pressures they place on themselves and others placing on themselves, dealing with challenges as well as opportunities for growth and change. When the universe throws us some curve balls, it is evident in our responses how we can find the possibility for growth and peace. Therapy provides a breathing space to take a closer look and move toward contentedness, growth, and fulfillment in a warm, safe and friendly environment. I am committed to providing you with the tools you need to achieve healthy growth and change. I help teen and young adults move past hurts and life challenges. My value system and philosophies rest upon the belief that individuals have tremendous strength, spirit, and a powerful capacity for change, and together, we will collaborate to help you grow and live a more peaceful, happy and balanced life.

Amy is both professional and caring. She gives my daughter space to own her own growth but consistently checks in with her and with me. She is compassionate but with honest feedback. She has been so helpful.

Amy has been a great help to me through some difficult times. She is always positive and has helped me to find better ways to handle situations rather than fall back on my unproductive responses.

In the past weeks I've been talking with Amy about the changes and challenges in my life. Amy is very emphatic and comprehensive, she understands my feelings very fast and can give some good advice.
Many thanks Amy :)

Amy has brought my life into a better place. She’s taught me skills that have not only helped me but I’ve been able to pass her knowledge on to others. I look forward to speaking with her every week.
I’ve had at least five other therapists and none of them have been able to get me to acknowledge the feelings I’ve been hiding about my childhood abuse. She brings me the comfort and caring I need to be honest with myself. She provides me with the strength to remember the past and helps me to move forward.
If you are looking for a person to help you explore your experience of abuse, Amy can truly help.

I can not speak highly enough of Amy. I’ve had a number of counselors in the past and none of them really seemed to understand me, but from day one I felt understood and cared for by Amy. She responds quickly, with care, and I never feel like a burden. Thank you for everything you do for me Amy!

Amy is one of the best counselors I've ever worked with. She's been helping me through so many deep rooted anxieties by providing guidance and tools for a better frame of mind. She's always uplifting me and helping look at the positives in life. We also have a lot of similar interests which makes me feel very connected to her!

I’ve only had 2-3 sessions with Amy but so far she has listened and understood my mental chaos. She helps me sort of organize my thoughts in ways that helps me regulate my emotions. I look forward to continuing my work with Amy in becoming a healthier being.

Ms.Manko is amazing. I thought I was a lost cause, helpless. She’s showing me that I’m not. Although I haven’t been with her long she’s helped me so much. Her methods, her response time, her level of expertise, she’s a great counselor. I could go on all day but it’s best you’d get that full experience in person. Try her out.
