About me
Hi,
My name is Amie Diminico I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I earned my Bachelors Degree at Northeastern University, In Boston, Massachusetts in Counseling Psychology. Then went on to earn my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University as well.
Both my husband and I work so navigating work and family life is always a task I can truly relate to. I have been married for 11 years and we have 6 children all together. Both my oldest son and step-son graduated high school in 2020 and trust me the struggle was real with all the challenges they faced due to the pandemic. My daughter is settling into her second year in a college out of state and my step-daughter is a senior in high school trying to navigate her teenage years complete with all the drama that comes with the territory. My oldest step-son is slowly adjusting to his first few years out in the workforce. Our youngest daughter is in third grade and although she is 8 sometimes we have to remind her that she is not a teenager.
The majority of my work has been in a community mental health setting in the state of Massachusetts where I lead individual, family, couples, and group therapy. I devised multidisciplinary teams with the purpose of presenting cases for proper treatment with a global approach. I also acted as a liaison to help clients find meaningful employment in the community. I have worked with families and individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, abuse/neglect, parenting issues, addiction, and adjustment disorders. Through my ten plus years of experience in the field of clinical psychology I have acquired strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to evaluate the needs of a wide range of people identify areas of need and then help to plan and carry out measurable goals to attain maximum achievement and adjustment.
I hope to motivate teens in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities. I aim to provide open thoughtful response, confidential space for your teen to be able to share with confidence.
I look forward to talking with both you and your teen soon!

Amie is easy to talk to and shows insight that has helped me refocus how I think about my issues and act to get unstuck. Working with her has been a valuable experience for me.
Amie has been great to work with. We have only had a few sessions with her so far. She has a good balanced approach of offering direction/help while also gently probing to uncover the issues.
We've been working with her for several weeks now and we are feeling great. Thanks!
Amie Diminico was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail and ability to listen to our needs made the experience seamless and enjoyable. Amie went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled efficiently and effectively. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional service. Thank you, Amie!
Excellent listener. Validating.
I've been seeing Amie during a particularly challenging and intense period of my life, and the experience has been invaluable. She listens attentively to my concerns, offers thoughtful feedback, and ensures that my needs are addressed. I never feel rushed or dismissed in our sessions—each one is filled with meaningful dialogue that helps me better navigate the complex situations I’m facing. Her guidance has been a crucial support system, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and insightful therapist.
she is the best, I feel so comfortable taking to her, she helps me when im really needing it,
Amie is great! She is very easy to talk to and I feel heard and understood by her.
She is wonderful.
Very caring and can relate to what I’m going through since she is a mother as a well. Always checks in to see how I am doing and has a decent amount of appointment availability. Very happy with our sessions so far.
She’s very patient and understanding, if not over eager to help. Even with topics she doesn’t quite understand her focus isn’t belittling or condescending, she just wants to understand.
Amie is very personable and is quick to respond to all messages. She has a kind demeanor and is very easy to talk to.
Amie was extremely helpful, supportive, and easy to talk to about some uncomfortable topics for me and my husband.
She has reached out several times to check in before our first meeting as there was some weeks elapsed from the first scheduled appointment. We appeciate her diligence.
Amie has been working with my daughter for a few months and it has been great! My daughter feels the support, and I can see subtle, positive changes in her behavior.
So far so good. Have only had one live session
Amie has been great to work with. She makes sure to check in with me in advance of our scheduled sessions and then does an excellent job of listening and posing relevant questions during our sessions. I would highly recommend her.
Amie has been a wonderful mediator for me and my fiance. Even though we still have a few sessions left to go we're making great progress in the right direction. She is also very understanding, fair, and takes the time to understand both of our points of view.
Amie is great, she listens and understands what I need.
Amie is very professional, well educated and empathetic. She listens well and offers great guidance. We really enjoyed our sessions with her.
Amie has been great. I recommend her.
Amie is an excellent counselor! She gives such great feedback and is very transparent with me in a way that helps me reach my goals.
Amie is the best. She is very clearly listening to what I have to say and knows when I need to navigate something on my own vs when I need to hear something. I look forward to continuing the growth I’ve had due to her help. I feel supported and most importantly I feel heard.
I can’t thank Amie enough for how she’s helped me transform my life. Her patience and understanding throughout this process is sincerely appreciated. She is empathetic and delicate in her approach, extremely supportive, and helped to remind me just how much progress I was making when I expressed any concerns or doubts. I have been able to successfully process my childhood trauma and recognize my own cycles of sabotage. After almost a year of working with her, I can gladly reflect on my journey with her and be so proud of the person I am today and extremely grateful for her assistance. I highly recommend her.
Amie is amazing, compassionate and so responsive..Can't thank her enough
Amie is the best! Could have not made it through the past several months without her help.
love it this saved my marriage
Amie is a great resource and very attentive and responsive. Appreciate her support!
Amie has an affable and disarming personality. She gives the clear impression that she is an expert in her field, but not so much that she would seem too distant to relate. She can maintain a focused conversation without the patient feeling like they're being led by the reigns
I have had difficulty opening up in sessions prior to Amie. Her easy demeanor has resulted in real, measurable progress that I've been unable to achieve in the past
Amie has been wonderful to work with - she's helped me work through a better strategy for coping with some family challenges and I really appreciate her expertise and support.
Amie is very attentive, and really makes you feel heard. She’s a great counselor, and not only tells you/ provides literature about new skills to apply to your partnership, but she walks you through them as well so that we can also feel how it’s supposed to work.
She listens to both parties and works with them without compromising the others individualism; she treats you as a team of two people instead of bundling you into a single... robotic unit which we both really appreciate.
She is fair, very communicative, kind, understanding, sympathetic, empathetic, strong-willed, and you can feel that she really cares about helping a partnership work to the best of her ability. I’d recommend Amie to everyone.
Amie has been a tremendous help to me. She is a great listener and offers a different perspective on the issues that I'm dealing with in life. I always feel so good after our sessions and I find that I'm able to view certain events in life in a more positive way.
Amie is very supportive, understanding, and real. She listens and gives her honest opinion. She does a great job at making both parties feel heard in couples therapy.
She is awesome and so helpful!
Just a few weeks in, I feel so grateful to have been paired with Amie. She is amazingly kind, insightful, patient and helpful. Despite my initial fears with starting therapy (especially online!) she made me feel instantly comfortable and I feel like I have already gained so much from working with her.
Amie made us feel comfortable right away. She is a great facilitator for our conversations and is incredibly insightful. We were new to counseling but after the first few minutes of the appointment we were feeling at ease and ready to get to work.
