I'm a social worker in the state of New York and Colorado. I have a wealth of experience working with high risk teens at risk of residential placement, many of whom struggled with substance abuse, family issues, school failure and legal issues.
I find teens to be fascinating, fun and interesting and I love the challenge of building a relationship with them and helping them feel safe enough to open up. I love to help individuals learn to function in a more productive and healthy way. As a teen, I struggled with many issues including substance abuse, chronic illness, anxiety, depression and trauma. Because of this and my experience of doing intense family therapy, I have a unique perspective of what both teens and parents experience. This helps me to help others to use a more informed and broader perspective of issues.
Feeling misunderstood can be marginalizing and isolating. I thrive on helping teens figure out what they want and who they want to be, and helping them to achieve these goals.

Allison is great--she's helped me figure out how to approach a number of things in both my personal and work life. She is super practical, grounded, down to earth, funny, and relaxed. She helps me put things in perspective and go easier on myself. Thanks, Allison!
Allison is and continues to be there in what appears to be the biggest struggle if my life currently. She is kind and patient and thoughtful.
She has been a blessing to our family
Allison is my favorite therapist that I’ve had so far: she’s insightful, kind, relatable, and easy to talk to. She helped me find my way into AA without pressuring or pushing me. By letting me do it at my own pace and supporting me the entire way, my comfort and trust in her have grown.
I feel very comfortable discussing what’s won in my life with Allison. There have been several times I’ve had very stressful things going on and speaking with or just texting with Allison has helped me work out the situation
I have only worked with Allison for a few weeks, but she's been insightful, supportive, and I feel our sessions are active and progress focused. I'm really looking forward to continuing to work with her!
Ali continues to be an amazing support system for me. She has helped me put my mental health first and learn how to focus on myself. Honestly, without her, I wouldn't be in the mental state I am in now: a good mental state. I still have work to do, but I am way better than what I was a year ago.
So far, we have seen a lot of success with Allison’s counseling. My daughter has been resistant to counseling in the past but seems to like this form of it and has opened up to Ali.
Allison is a very understanding compassionate therapist I enjoy my sessions very much.
I very much appreciate Allison!! She has helped me deal with my stress, anxiety and grief, she is there to offer support whenever I need.
Great work done by Allison. We see a very positive impact on our daughter. Also spoke to Allison a couple of times, and share our thoughts and approach. Allison was in agreement with our approach and agreed to talk to our daughter which helped her understand our perspective as well. Many thanks again Allison.
Allison is great! She is very understanding, patient, and kind. She made me feel comfortable immediately.
Allison took the time to assess my needs, to listen to what I was looking for, and to create a program custom to me. She is not a one-size-fits-all counselor, rather an adept professional looking to meet her clients where they are in a modern day society.
