About Me

I have a doctoral degree in Psychology, masters in School Psychology, masters in Counseling , and a masters in Criminal Justice. I have 30 years of working within the Criminal Justice System where I provided substance abuse and mental health counseling to inmates and others. My treatment approach is set up to best help the client that I am dealing with and involves the following: Person-Centered , Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral aspects ( REBT). I have and would love to continue working with families , couples, and individuals. I take a systematic approach in order to assist the client or clients and the focus for me is to meet the clients were they are and assist them with increasing the quality of their life. I have also been in private practice in the Atlanta, Georgia area ever since 2003.

I have a background in School Psychology, which is very helpful in reference to dealing with the age ranges of 13 to 19. Individuals within this age range may be experiencing problems related to development and acceptance, substance abuse , and relationship concerns. Yes, well I haven’t been with Dr. Cameron long but even in the short time of getting use to the idea of having Dr. Cameron has been amazing. He responds when I need him to, he advises on different ways to deal with my “personal issues”. He also give in information to look up and study (which I enjoy doing) Like I said I haven’t been with him very long but he has been absolutely amazing so far.... THANK YOU DR.CAMERON.

This has probably been the most helpful counseling of my life. The therapist made me feel so comfortable. Very considerate yet still professional. I felt like I was talking with an old friend.

In my initial few sessions Dr Cameron has been very helpful. He listens, and is also very good at moving me forward in my thinking too, to gently prompt me towards discovery. He's also provided me with some useful materials to work on and consider in-between our sessions. All extremely helpful.

It was a pleasure talking with Dr. Cameron. He gave me a different perspective and helped me realise a lot of the issues l faced in the UK we're prevalent in the USA. He helped me realise my family dynamic was unhealthy and how to employ strategies to change my interaction with said family members.

Dr. Cameron clearly knows what he's doing. He made me feel like we were actually working towards something instead of just me complaining. I appreciated that he clearly laid out a plan.
