Welcome! My name is Rebecca Hunt (though I go by Becky) and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. My 14+ years of previous social work and counseling experience include early intervention casework, play therapy with children and families, group work for teenagers, child welfare counseling and case management for children and adults, parenting support, ADHD support for families and children, and case management for homeless individuals with acute medical illness. I focused on Social Work in Children and Families as well as Military Social Work during my master’s program at USC and have a passion for working with those, both children and adults, who have experienced trauma.
I believe that wellness includes many factors of a person's life--mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I believe that many people and families have the ability to manage any situation or challenge with a combination of existing strengths and learning of new skills. In counseling, I use a combination of CBT, solution focused, and problem-solving therapy, along with Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapies, and (yes even) Play Therapy when appropriate. I believe individualized and family plans, when developed in your words, are a great road map for reaching your desired destination. Seeking help reflects the courage and drive that you already have within you; I look forward to our working together.

Rebecca was my second attempt to match with a counselor and I feel like it was not an accident. I quickly felt like I was talking with a friend... who is an expert in everything I need help with. LOL She is professional, knowledgeable, empathetic, great with follow up, and very genuine. Grateful to have found her!!
Rebecca has been great since the first moment I signed on with her!
I’ve been struggling a lot with my mental health, especially at this crazy time in life. Rebecca showed so much patience and grace toward me. I’m so thankful for her words of encouragement and helpful ideas and resources.
Rebecca is great, she helped me work through some readjustment issues I was having being abruptly sent back to the US after being gone for a couple years and living in a completely different setting. I am still working through other issues with her and I am really happy to have someone to help me work through these issues. My stress levels have gone down significantly because of her and I am so thankful for that.
Becky has been and continues to be very helpful. She truly listens and gives actual guidance.
I respect Rebecca as my counselor. I've been in contact with her fairly regularly for about 6 months. She listens to what I'm telling her and then validates what I'm saying, sometimes gives me a different way of thinking about the situation, and gives clear steps to follow in the future. I'm struggling with my relationship with my teen daughter, and Rebecca has helped me to understand the developing brain, coping skills for me, and better ways to deal with stressful situations as they arise. Highly recommend Rebecca!
I like Becky a lot and wouldn’t cope with out her.
She's the best! Very helpful.
I feel like teen counseling did a great job matching me with Rebecca. We hit it off right away and I felt comfortable talking to her about things I want to work on and ways to handle certain situations with friends, coworkers and family. She’s shared several worksheets and advice for me to use as I try to better myself and grow. If you get paired with Rebecca, you’ll be on the road to better health!
Rebecca is understanding, supportive and her insights reaffirmed my worth and the empathy that I should have toward myself. Even in complex situations, she provides sound-simple truths. Providing me with sustainable tools that can be utilized long after the sessions are complete.
She has a great perspective on my problems and challenges me to look at things in ways I hadn't before which is greatly helping my current situation.
Becky is so amazing! I am truly transforming in a positive way with her help and guidance.
Becky is a very thoughtful and well-rounded person. She takes care to listen to me so we can prioritize the priorities of the week and the most current session. She also provides a wide variety of advise without making it too overwhelming for me. She also reaches out on a regular basis so I feel supported.
Already told my cousin who was very afraid of therapy about this and how accessible and convenient and comforting it is to have someone help you be a better version of yourself. I recommended this service based on my interactions with Rebecca and I truly think she (my cousin) will use this service too. Talking to Becky changed my view of therapy.
My life has been changed because of my work with Rebecca.
This has been a valuable and rewarding experience for me. I would give Rebecca my highest possible recommendation.
This has helped a lot. Rebecca is able to get to the roots of my issues quickly and give my healthy outlets to help with figuring out why I was feeling that way.
I like that even though I'm sick she still checks up with me.
Rebecca, I think you're doing an amazing job! You are truly patient and respectful. I'm thankful we matched and you're still to help me during my tough times!
Becky is great she is pushing me to see things I would not see and helping me improve my life and helping with my goals.
She pushes me and often asks me to clarify what I mean, which helps her understand better and is probably good for me, too. She also encourages me to be gracious to myself for improving slowly, and is kind enough to put up with my negativity. I appreciate her!
She’s very caring, responds in a timely manner, usually within a couple of hours, and was able to determine that I had ADHD, which my psychiatrist agrees with.
I would recommend her to others.
I like counciling this way I have been able to be more open.
Rebecca Hunt has been working with me for a few weeks now and I love every piece of advice she has given. She doesn't sugar coat things and gives it to me straight, which I definitely need in times. This app has helped quite a bit and I like that I can access help 24/7 knowing I'll have a response within 12 hours.
I was in a very low place when I first joined. I felt very alone and as much as I hate to admit it, I have a problem opening up to people. Rebecca helped me tremendously. Giving me different ways to think about and keep track of how I felt and how it was effecting me. (Sleep, health, diet, etc.) She helped me realize that even if I don’t know what the future holds, that I can’t dwell on what might happen. Look at my future with high hopes and confidence, instead of fear and worry. I can’t thank Rebecca enough for everything. She truly helped me find a way to be kind to my self and my body.
