Nicholas Crisp is an experienced social worker who has worked in a variety of roles and capacity. Having begun his career as a medical support assistant for the Indian Health Service, Nick quickly developed a passion for counseling and working with people. This desire to help people saw Mr. Crisp apply to the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University for a Master of Social Work, which he studied with a concentration on the mental health of American Indian and Alaskan Natives. Currently, Nick is seeking opportunities to work with American Indians, Alaskan Natives and other populations that are often marginalized.
Nick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holding his Social Worker license through the State of Oklahoma and Nevada respectfully. He started his career as a Social Worker working with dually diagnosed adult populations. In his five years of practice, he has worked with a myriad of populations, with his primary focus and passion being with dually and co-occurring disorders, while maintaining a caseload specialization in adolescent, youth and family systems. Other areas of specialization include cognitive behavioral therapy, gender/cultural informed care, and the application of solution focused and family systems. Key areas of focus include depression and anxiety related disorders, specifically regarding self-harm and crisis, family systems, anger management, behavioral issues, and substance-related/mental health disorders.
Some of Mr. Crisp’s weaknesses include propensities for workaholism and perfectionism. His strengths include a strong work ethic, and an understanding of the importance of flexibility, diversity, and balance. He also believes in teamwork, an aptitude further honed by his experience playing NCAA football as a tight end.

Nick has been such a great help! He’s provided me with a lot of new perspectives and insights! He’s ver attentive and really knows how to say things that resonates with me. I was nervous coming into therapy but he has made it very easy to be comfortable and to express myself freely.
Open minded and listen to my child
Nick has been a pleasure to talk to and has really helped me.
He is an amazing listener. He goes back over what we talk about to make sure he understands what I'm saying. He plays the " Devils advocate" which really let's me think about the other side.
Nick is a wonderful therapist who truly cares for his clients and genuinely wants to help in whatever way he can. I’ve never once felt like I was being judged, no matter what we were discussing, and I feel comfortable enough with him to talk about just about anything. He’s great, 10/10 recommend!
Nick is very flexible and understanding. I really like how I can message him at any time and how he works with my schedule. Definitely recommend.
I’ve worked with Nick for almost 2 years now, I believe. I’ve had a number of therapists and he’s been the most amazing and most helpful I’ve ever encountered. He works with my schedules, he challenges me on the daily, he’s the best listener and my life and my mindset has changed since I’ve met him. I can’t tell anyone how much he’s really helped me progress. He knows when to be comical and when to be serious. He makes me laugh in the best moments when I’m extremely upset or anxious or even when I’m angry. He checks in on me almost daily, and he is always over the top and professional. He goes above and beyond for his clients and I personally think he shines a light in peoples lives and He has advice for everything I’ve thrown at him.
Nick was able to get me to see different perspectives of my situation by asking the right kinds of questions that would stimulate my thinking and understanding, and thus give me the ability to choose better outcomes for myself, including better physical and verbal responses to those situations. He never ordered or pressured me to do anything and I never felt like he was trying to steer me in any direction, but instead worked to get me to understand a better lay of the land. I grew and matured a lot while under Nick’s care.
Nicholas is patient, caring, knowledgeable , and asks thought provoking questions. He also offers to contact him in between sessions. He also communicates with relevant topics in between sessions
Nicholas is a very friendly dude that does an excellent job at mediating between couples. He's there to listen and help couples open up to each other so everyone feels heard. He'll ask questions and makes sure you or your partner feels like the focal point of each session.
Hmm where should I start... Nick is overall a perfect therapist. During certain situations, he knows when to be funny and when to be serious. He is also compassionate and really cares about my well-being. As he always says "I'm in your corner". If you're looking for the best he is the one!
Nick is a great therapist. He is very tuned in and offer insightful and encouraging suggestions,
As my first time signing up to see a therapist my sessions with Nicholas has changed my taboo views on therapy.
It’s still to early to tell but I can tell him things without freaking out
Nick is a great listener, who is always ready to let me rant and is able to follow along well. His challenges into my life are productive and attainable always!
Nicholas seems to be well versed in assisting teenagers and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him.
This app has been amazing, my therapist has been great and I live in the middle of the desert so mental help isn’t something I can just get locally.
Nicholas was great I was able to open up to him right away and I feel like he always had to right thing to say.
Nick has definitely had a good impact on my life. He’s only been my therapist for a little bit but he’s helped me change my perspective on a lot and when I apply his advice and teachings to my life it helps make my life a little easier or a little better.
He is your cheerleader but also very level-headed and will give you both sides of the coin when expressing your concerns. He does great at grounding your anxieties and shifting your thinking if needed. Very attentive and very supportive.
Amazing guy and easy to work with
Nick has made me reasonable and understand the things around me better. Didn’t know I needed this until I started.
Nicholas is a great therapist and I learned a lot from him.
I love working with Nick! I think he is understanding and fun to talk to. We joke during our sessions a lot which I appreciate. He really works with me on various tools to utilize outside of therapy.
He's the best
He is a blessing in my life. When I am discouraged, he encourages. When I need to vent, he listens. When I am anxious and don’t know what to do, he supports and talks me through it. I cannot say enough how thankful I am for his help and care.
Nicholas has been an awesome therapist to me for these past 16 weeks! Very understanding, enthusiastic, patient, receptive, and supportive. He is wonderful to bounce ideas off of for insight and perspective. Nick is wonderful!
So far I’ve had 2 sessions and I have been extremely satisfied. I feel he is giving me the guidance I have needed to move on with my life.
Nicholas Crisp is an amazing person through and through, he has been my therapist for almost a year; he has helped me to become a better person today than who I was yesterday. He is professional, relatable, and personable; that he is easy/comfortable to talk to. I have seen an actual change in my everyday life by him being an example of being a better version of myself that he is able to pull out of me. He is an amazing communicator, and to communicate well you have to know how to listen. He has definitely listened to my concerns and helped me realize my true potential. Thank you Nicholas for being here for me and for others.
Nick is your Silver Lining Playbook. NY Times rated best LCSW of the year. Awarded Purple Heart for acts of valor in social work. 12/10 dance moves. Highly competent in raising bad vibes to positive ones. In conclusion, give this man an island already.
Nicolas was great at listening. And great at helping stay engaged in the process
He’s been very attentive
He is awesome very professional
I like the way Nicholas asks me questions that make me think and process things fully in order to answer the question. He doesn't agree nor disagree with the way I feel but is empathetic and helps me to think about things in more then one way.
Nicholas is a great listener, does his best to see if an issue maybe has a root in the past. Quicker responses to questions in the session would be nice, but I understand he might have quite a lot of clients. I have never felt ignored or neglected so he is overall doing great
Nicholas is awesome, my partner and I have been meeting with him for a few months now and he has been a tremendous help to our relationship. He helps my partner and I communicate with each other and helps us find solutions when we are struggling with communication and relationship issues. Nicholas has also helped me talk about some of my own personal issues that affect my relationship with my partner and I feel safe and able to share with the knowledge I am being heard. Overall I think my partner and I always feel like we walk away from our sessions in a better place than where we started and we are very thankful we were matched with him.
Nicholas and I have only had a couple of meetings. Already and I am starting to understand how to restructure my thoughts for healthier habits. I appreciate his patience and kind demeanor.
I've been working with Nicholas for about two months and I really appreciate his focus and attention to detail. I can't be an easy case (some days I literally have no words) and I am grateful for his persistence and work ethic.
Nick is great. He is somehow able to listen to me ramble until I forget what we're doing and he'll still know how to get back on topic.
Thumbs up emoji
I appreciate how responsive he is and how he takes the time to acknowledge everything I’m saying. He’s a great listener.
So far he has been a major help in helping me with my wife and helping me with my anger
He is good to work with and is very helpful
It has only been a couple weeks, but I am really pleased with my therapist Nicholas. He has consistently communicated with me and checks in on how I am doing throughout the week before and after our sessions. I am very lucky to have someone who listens and gives much needed outside perspective. Highly recommend for sure.
I find him to be a very understanding person an really cares about the issues ans concerns at hand.
Being new to therapy, my first interaction with a therapist was not the greatest but Nick restored my faith in therapy. He is not just a great listener but he also gives you a lot of thought provoking feedback. He helped me so much and though I worked with him for a short period of time, if I get the opportunity I would 100% work with him again. Thank you Nick!
Nicholas is a great counselor. He actually listens to me and provides feedback. He has been very helpful and I am so glad that he is my counselor. I couldn’t have moved on without him.
He’s my very first therapist and I’m appreciating his insights on my life so far. He’s helping me and I adore it.
Nicholas has helped enormously already and we’ve only had 2 sessions. He made us feel comfortable from the start. We each have room to share and communicate, he provides a fair balance with that. We are discussing emotionally charged topics but it feels very safe to tackle them in his presence. We are so grateful.
This was my first counseling experience and Nick is very pleasant and easy to talk to- I really appreciate his active listening and thought provoking questions.
Nick Crisp has been wonderful and I’ve seen positive changes in my son after just 3 sessions. I’m very pleased.
Insightful - communicative - easy to open up to - Great match for me for counseling
