Hello! My name is Mehjabeen (Mehj) Aubol. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor located in Pennsylvania. I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and have about 6 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. I have extensive experience providing counseling to teens in the school setting, and have an understanding of the many issues that teens face today. I enjoy working with teens both individually and with their parents.
My experience includes working with teens with depression, anxiety, PTSD, family conflict, peer conflict, academic issues, self-esteem issues, and Autism. My primary approach and training is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and changing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach to counseling is always to get to know the individual first, understand their goals for counseling, and to work with them as a team to help them get to where they desire to be in their life. I am always open to feedback and willing to try new methods or approaches that best fit the needs of the individual I am working with, as every individual is unique! My favorite part of being a counselor is getting to know each and every individual. The most satisfying part of this job is seeing people attain their goals and noticing change in their lives.

Mehjabeen has been very kind and compassionate with my daughter. She immediately made us all feel comfortable and welcomed.
Mehjabeen is amazing! In what’s been a rough year, it’s been wonderful to have her to talk things through with, to help provide me with perspective, to push back on my assumptions. I look forward to my appointments and genuinely feel better after a session. My appointments really help get me focused on the week ahead. Very grateful to have been matched with her!
Mehjabeen is a fantastic therapist who I can relate to and learn numerous cognitive therapy tips to reshape how I view my surroundings. I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking therapy.
Mehj has been one of the best counselors I've had the pleasure of working with, and I've seen so many therapists over the years. She's very considerate, compassionate, validating, and consistent. She's very mindful and accommodating. I really appreciated her support on the various subjects we covered. In the brief time that I have worked with her, I can say that it's very apparent that she genuinely cares about her clients. As someone who suffers from extensive emotional trauma and has been mistreated very badly throughout the course of my life, I really appreciated Mehj's gentle and sensitive approach with me. I don't know if I could ever find a counselor or person who is as kind and validating as Mehj. I cannot recommend and speak highly of her enough.
Mehjabeen is the most amazing counselor and I’ve really enjoyed my time with her. She was easy to relate to and made me feel very comfortable. She patiently listened to me and offered very helpful advice.
I'm lucky to have her as my therapist. She knows what she's doing and is very helpful.
She is great with my son.
Mehj has been wonderful. I’m 37 years old, and have had several types of counseling throughout the years, but nothing this effective. I’ve gotten more help with her in the past 5 months than I did in years of previous therapy. The sessions have enabled me to incorporate new thinking techniques in a way that is organic, and extremely impactful in my battle with anxiety. Mehj is very attentive, and responsive, with us even having short exchanges as often as everyday. I look forward to my weekly sessions, and have highly recommended both Mehj and teen counseling in general to several of my friends, colleagues and family. I’m truly thankful to have been paired with such a talented and respectful therapist.
She is wonderful and and has helped me so much
So supportive and knowledgeable
Mehj is a wonderful and attentive listener. She has circled back to comments I made in some of our earlier sessions and tied it all together for me in way that makes me feel heard and supported. She is clear about setting goals and intentions and acknowledging when I've made progress. It is clear that she's an experienced counselor and shows confidence in the way she navigates our conversations. Overall, I have felt like I am in great hands with someone that I can trust and who truly cares.
Mehjabeen has SO helpful in my journey of pulling away from a career I thought I would have at least for awhile longer. She really supports and validates my thought processes while working through this very difficult time. Having someone to go to as open, but poignant, as her has been super helpful and necessary to keep pushing on through!
Mehj is great at catering the sessions to my needs. Unlike my old therapist, she takes proactive steps to identify what aspects of my life can be worked on. We have been making large strides together, and I can confidently say that I am better off now than I was before we met.
So understanding and compassionate . She really takes time to listen and mirror back what you’re saying which shows that she is truly engaged . She is great !
