I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I have several years of experience working in community mental health agencies and school systems serving individuals in grades K-12. Working in these settings has provided valuable opportunities to treat children, adolescents and families with a variety of mental health needs. I have helped individuals who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, learning difficulties, stress, grief/loss, body image dissatisfaction and substance use.
My primary focus is to establish a therapeutic relationship with the individual since this is essential to the counseling process. I demonstrate active listening and have a person centered, non-judgmental and respectful approach. Others have often described me as a great listener, patient, easy to talk to and having a good sense of humor.
My counseling style is goal oriented, supportive and focuses on identifying your strengths. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and solution focused techniques to help individuals set and work towards their goals. I believe each individual has specific strengths and counseling can be a way to highlight those strengths to be used to overcome struggles.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts. I continued my education and received a Master of Arts degree from Lesley University where I studied counseling psychology.
I enjoy spending time at the beach, being creative, walking/hiking and spending time with those I care about, including my dog. I enjoy watching individuals make positive choices and decisions in their life. I look forward to supporting you in achieving your goals and becoming a healthier person.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Linda Rawlings. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Linda Rawlings is fantastic. She’s knowledgeable, patient and kind. And she empowers her clients in their self-development. She’s been a wonderful plus this summer!
Lind has been helpful with active listening and I appreciate her guidance
Linda takes the time to fully understand each situation we discuss and gives objective, helpful advice!
Listens, responds and cares.
I am really glad to have found teencounseling.com and Linda is my therapist. She is a reflexive listener and just having her to talk with has been infinitely helpful. Already seeing my anxiety decrease with tools she is suggesting.
Linda really understands what my goals are and helps me achieve them. She also hears me. I've learned strategies from her that I used immediately, with positive results. I feel that I have reached my goals with Linda. Thanks!
Dr. Rawlings, you are a great counselor and everyone will acknowledge your professionalism. Thank you for being there for me!
I did not work with Linda for very long, only 4 weeks and sessions but she was very attentive, supportive and helpful. Took the time to take all of the info in and respond accordingly with practical and encouraging but concise recommendations. I was very happy with my time spent here because of her.
She’s great and takes the time to learn about her clients. She’s very attentive and always responds in a reasonable amount of time.
Linda is concise, non-nonsense, and direct. She provides helpful, actionable suggestions.
I love Linda. She is very helpful and has helped me a great deal.
Linda is wonderful, she listens and offers kind and supportive words
Linda listens with compassion and creates a judgement free zone. She helped me create healthier habits to deal with anxiety and a better mindset for how to deal with stressful situations.
Linda has been honestly very soothing and welcoming to talk to. She is the first therapist that I have felt more inclined to open up to and actually look forward to talking to and meeting with. My schedule is pretty busy so there have been some weeks we haven’t been able to meet but typically if it were my way, I would meet consistently every week. Typically, I would dread going to therapy and get super anxious before hand, but that hasn’t been the case with Linda. I really feel like because of her non judgmental approach that I am able to talk openly with her, which is hard for me normally. I really appreciate the help that I have gotten from her so far. She is the first therapist I have tried that I actually like... A LOT! If your looking for someone who will listen and be soothing and kind then Linda is that person.
Linda is great! She listens to me and gives me some advice to help me.
I only wish teen counseling was cheaper or accepted my insurance.
Linda is excellent counselor. She is well educated in her specialty and a good listener. She follows you up every time and asks if you are okay. I definitely recommend her.
Linda responds in a very timely manner to messaging. She has also allowed for me to express myself in writing which has made my self exploration a little easier. Very much appreciate her points.
