About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker-LICSW # 2490C licensed in the state of Alabama. I graduated from Oakwood University where I studied nursing, then I attended Alabama A& M University and obtained a Masters of Social Work degree -specialized in Mental Health and Substance Use disorders. I have had the experience of working with teens of all ages with mental illness and occurring disorders. I have been able to provide them with support in a collaborative and on an individual basis involving their families as part of their treatment modality and support system.

My goal is to provide a warm, safe and non-judgmental environment for all my clients. A place where my teen clientele can feel heard and know that they can express themselves in confidence and learn new coping skills. My clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry has allowed me to work with those who have been dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions and family relational issues. I have gain additional experience in the areas of sexual assault, domestic abuse/violence and have worked with at-risk youth and families through my clinical experiences as a nurse.
