I have 4 years of experience working with the adolescent population in various settings such as a Middle School, High School, residential facilities for both boys and girls, private practice and community mental health. I counsel teens dealing with anxiety, social rejection, self-harm, low self-esteem, depression, trauma, gender identity issues and relationship issues. I focus on helping teens explore and clarify their personal goals, recognize their strengths, regain a sense of control, and develop the tools they need to move forward in their lives. I utilize family systems and the solution focused approaches when conducting individual and family therapy. I also integrate faith based concepts, when appropriate, in assisting clients in finding more meaning and purpose in their lives. I know change is challenging and it takes courage and commitment to reach out for help. I believe that a supportive, compassionate therapeutic relationship is the basis for change. In the comfort and convenience of your own home, I will help you choose the best path to accomplish your goals and achieve a more fulfilling life.
