About Me

Hi! My name is Kellis and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. I focused on substance abuse issues as well as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have been working with clients for over five years and I am constantly learning in order to keep up with out ever changing world. There are times in our lives where the weight of things becomes too much. I can help you work through some of the things that may be blocking your path to success. I can help you work on coping skills, self-esteem, trauma, fear, or something in between.

Being a teen is an especially difficult time. It can feel like no one is able to understand you and the challenges you are facing are unique. This can cause anxiety and depression and continue to cause feelings of isolation. I can offer a judgment free safe zone to talk and work towards your next goal.

Seeking out help is difficult, but you're one step closer today than you were yesterday. Just keep moving forward.

I truly enjoy my sessions with Kellis. She is able to understand my concerns, anxieties and depression and helps to make me evaluate situations from a different perspective and to be better able to mitigate my bouts. It has been wonderful and I look forward to continuing my care with her.

She's really great. She's there for me when I need someone to help me through my intrusive thoughts or if I just need to talk about my day and figure out what I can do to make tomorrow better. None of my other therapists ever come close to helping me like she has been doing. I'd consider her a friend I can confide in and who gives me advice for the road ahead and how to push through the really bad days and make them easier for me and the others in my life in a much better way.

She has been so understanding and easy to work with. She doesn't speak to us like "patients", but like a friend who is trying to help.

Kellis has been very patient with me; she has read everything I've written and responded with understanding and validation for my issues/concerns. She tries to meet me where I'm at and work with me in a collaborative way. She has consistently engaged me and encouraged me to reach out whenever needed. She responds to me fairly quickly and shows great care.

I felt automatically comfortable speaking with Kellis, which is a huge thing for me. Her calm demeanor makes it easier to talk about my issues and I feel like I’m not being judged. Her areas of expertise paired well with the concerns I want to address in counseling. Thank you so much, Kellis. You are wonderful!

Kellis was everything my partner and I were looking for in a counselor. She puts in the work to understand us and give us the guidance that we needed. She’s always there for us whenever we need her.
