About me

Life is ever changing that we can be sure of!

Hello, my name is Jackie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. I have a Masters of Science Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas. I have been helping people for over 20 years navigating through life's changes in the DFW area. Working with older teens and adults deal with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief and loss. I helped families address a range of concerns that revolved around child abuse, child neglect, domestic violence, substance abuse, self-esteem, and more.

My approach to therapy is client centered. My style is warm and engaging. I believe in the client taking an active part in the direction and depth of their therapeutic process. I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients to their treatment goals including:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - I assist clients in exploring the dynamic between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns which can lead to mood disorders and self-destructive behaviors.
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - I teach and support clients in these skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.
• Solution Focused Therapy
• Rational Emotive Therapy

Self esteem is not static, it is ever changing by the decisions we make each and every day. Do you need help making better decisions, or someone to empower you?

I check my messages once a day during each week day, it may take me a couple of days to read, digest the information and formulate a thoughtful reply. I require 24 hours prior notice cancellation. Thank You and I sincerely look forward to working with your Teen!

She is very kind and doesn’t interrupt when you try to explain issues, instead she asks questions you didn’t think to ask yourself and is incredibly supportive about it.

Jacqueline has been really helpful with talking through tough topics while coming from a place of empathy, understanding, and professionalism. She understands we are in a safe space and hears my versions of things, and gives me tools to handle tough situations w/out judgment. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I feel I am in a much better state of mind after having these sessions.

I am the patient's father, however, I will say that my child is very happy working with Jackie, and so am I as her dad, whenever I need to get in touch with Jackie, usually for some administrative reason.

jackie is so wonderful & kind!

Written on Oct 10, 2021 after therapy with Jacqueline for 3 months on issues concerning self esteem, and career difficulties

Sometimes it was difficult to find the words to share my concerns, and I would feel frustrated with my issues that I didn't know where to start, or whether it was even important to share. But this didn't last long at all with Jackie. She knows exactly how to ask to pull information out of me, and sometimes it felt as though she was reading my mind. The worksheets and articles she provided were perfect to help me deal with thoughts in between sessions. I feel a weight off my shoulder and more clear-minded than I have in months. Thank you so much!

Jackie’s counsel is a blessing I didn’t expect to receive and one I didn’t realize how desperately I needed.
Without fail, our weekly sessions would not only provide me with a place to decompress, but Jackie’s discourse would turn my venting into constructive self-analysis.
I left every session invigorated for whatever challenges the week ahead posed. If you’re looking for a quality therapist as well as a unexpectedly treasured friend, look no further.

This session was good and it helped realise that I am in my own way. I like the way she let me speak about my problems without interrupting.

Work with me!
