About Me

I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in California with over 10 years of experience working as a Marriage and Family therapist and social worker. I have a Masters of Science in Psychology and a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also earned my Masters in Education and the Pupil Personnel Services Credential. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, child abuse, domestic violence, adoption, Autism and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in having empathy and compassion for everyone I come into contact with. Being different is a beautiful thing and I embrace this. My approach combines client centered, trauma focused CBT and solution focused therapy. But I do believe that the modality works best when tailored to each client's specific needs. .

Beginning this journey in seeking therapy can make you feel uncomfortable and frightened, but it certainly can transform your life.

I look forward to working with you!

I was about to cancel my subscription to teen counseling until we found Dana! She is perfect for what I was wanting in a counselor. She is responsive and we always feel heard not only in every session but even when we have a concern in between sessions she is available and helpful. I feel that if she were to leave we would have a hard time finding a counselor as perfect for us as her.

While I have only had two sessions and this is a long road I can already feel an internal change and see a bright future. She is focused on working on specific issues and has a wealth of knowledge and compassion. She is non judge mental and just extremely easy to talk too.
Her response time is truly appreciated.
