Welcome! I'm really happy you're here. Asking for help can be hard, and by starting your search, you've already taken a big step for yourself or your child.
I'm Amy Seiders, a licensed marriage and family therapist and professional counselor. I've been in the counseling profession for 18 years, primarily working with children, teens and families, not only outpatient but also within a residential treatment setting. I have a rather eclectic overall approach to therapy, as I feel like one size doesn't fit all when it comes to people. My focus is on allocating time, patience, and encouragement so that you or your child has a safe space to figure out the best path forward.
On a personal note, I'm the mother of two very active pre-teens, both of whom participate in competitive sports (figure skating and swimming). My daughter has been a consistent therapy participant for many years, and while we had a rough start finding a good fit, she's found a great therapist and made significant progress over time. I also maintain a full-time role with a healthcare start up and our family fosters animals for a local rescue...so it's a noisy, busy, and sometimes overwhelming household! In my (very occasional) bouts of free time, I love to cook and use my family as test subjects for new recipes.
Congratulations again for taking this first big step toward change; if you feel it might be a fit, I'd love to be part of you or your family's team. But regardless of who you choose to work with, I believe you can make progress toward your goals.

Amy has made me very comfortable from the very first chat and meet. I was a bit hesitant about zoom counseling at first but it has been great so far!
She is so helpful, genuine and kind. I feel validated and at peace whenever we chat!
Amy is amazing. She listens and is able to easily understand our perspectives as parents. Our daughters quality of living has improved and we are excited to continue to see her grow!
Amy is a wonderful counselor. I have only engaged with her via chatroom, but her warmth, humor and compassion really comes through on the digital platform. I was hesitant to try online counseling because I felt like the human element of conversation would be lost over text. Amy makes it work and I highly recommend her!
Amy goes above and beyond to keep you focused on individual subjects as she helps you navigate each one.
This process seems to be easier than I even thought it would be, and I am getting a lot from it!! I highly recommend it!!
I've been helped more in 3 weeks than I have anywhere else. I love this experience.
