Welcome. I believe you will be very happy you reached out for this support, and I am honored you are considering my help on your journey.
I obtained my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University in 2007 and earned my LPC for the state of Pennsylvania in 2012. Before heading back to school for my Master's degree, I worked as an educator at the elementary and secondary levels in both private and public educational settings. Before graduation in 2007, I participated in an internship for a local Domestic Violence shelter; working with women and children forced to leave their home to remain safe. My first posting after graduation was in a brain trauma unit, supporting clients suffering from traumatic brain injuries, providing cognitive therapy and interpersonal relationship skills. My journey continued when I joined an agency that provided outpatient and on-site school based therapy for elementary-aged students. In that role I supported students struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, focus and attention and trauma. My work with younger students often included familial relationships and when appropriate, group work to solidify learned social skills.
I have supported and encouraged teens and young adults for over 10 years. Working in a no judgment environment, we have collaborated to identify the underlying maladaptive and risky behaviors, starting a process to empower and increase self-esteem. Our younger clients are exposed to higher levels of stress due to unrealistic expectations at school, and placed on them by social media and peer pressure. I understand our teens view life events differently than adults, and we examine and process appropriately, and at a pace acceptable to our teens.
I look forward to working with you and your family.

She’s the best!!!
Vickie helped my daughter find her way through a lonely and depressed period. She was gentle, patient, constructive, and down-to-earth, which was just what we needed. My daughter is much happier and more confident now, and this is in no small part thanks to Vickie's support!
Vickie is so kind, energetic, thoughtful, compassionate, and an exceptional listener. I've never felt judged or neglected as I have with previous therapists. Each session I leave with another weight lifted off of my shoulders. She always seems to find the root of my anxiety, and offers up sound advice in times of crisis. I am so grateful to have matched with Vickie on teen counseling because she has taught me so much about self love, setting boundaries, and forgiveness.
AH-mazing! She's sweet and kind, SO easy to talk to, is patient and understanding. There are not enough words to describe how much I enjoy our sessions, how grateful I am to her for all the lessons I'm learning and for the countless support she always gives❤️ thank you a million times over and I cannot wait to continue to grow with the help of your guidance
Vickie is such a great listener and offers valuable feedback that makes me more receptive to the lessons she attempts to guide me to uncovering for myself. I truly value our talks.
She's a lovely, supportive counselor!
Vickie has exceeded my expectations on every level. Even though we only communicate through text message, she is incredibly attentive to my situation, and her replies are extremely thoughtful and insightful. She researches helpful strategies that work for me. Thank you, Vickie!
Very considerate and has lots of great perspectives on things we’ve discussed. Always listens very intently and has helped me immensely this far.
I’ve only worked with her for a short time but I’ve enjoyed it so far! She seems understanding and patient which is very nice.
