Hello! I am a licensed psychologist, licensed marriage and family therapist, and an international parenting, divorce, and coparenting coach. I have been working with single adults, couples, children and families for over 20 years. My clients are learning to master such issues as overcoming depression; trauma recovery; anxiety reduction; managing existential and identity issues, reducing stress, and controlling anger. I have counseled in mental health, addiction treatment, and criminal justice settings. Currently, I have a private practice in south Florida (www.family-options.com), where I supervise master's level mental health counseling and psychology trainees. I also teach graduate-level courses in ethics, disaster and trauma response, abnormal behavior, community counseling, and criminal behavior, and I mentor graduate dissertation students in forensic psychology.
I have worked with individuals who are struggling with a wide range of concerns, including such things as recovery from divorce; managing anxiety, stress and depression; estrangement from family; career changes; marital infidelity; and parenting challenges. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have problems with self-worth, who have experienced trauma, and with families in conflict.
Through our interactions, I hope that you will find a safe place where we can explore your concerns and develop a plan that will have you actively pursuing your goals and living the life you want. Together, we can undo false belief systems and unhealthy habits.
My therapeutic style is strengths-based, meaning that I will work with you to identify your strengths and the strategies that have worked well for you in the past, and nurture those skills to their highest potential. I am committed to getting to know you as an individual, and working hard to earn your trust and discover exactly what changes you hope to make in your life. You are the expert in your own life and in what you need, and the pace in which you would like to go, and it's my honor to adapt my counseling style to your needs and help you create the life that you want. I may "push" you out of your comfort zone at times in order to challenge you to meet the goals you have set for yourself, but I will provide you with a safe environment and will always be empathetic and patient and put you first.
I strive to support, encourage, educate, and empower my clients. I encourage lots of feedback from my clients, and I am very open to constructive criticism, because I want this process to be helpful and useful for you. Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan that empowers you to overcome obstacles and create specific, achievable tasks that will put you on the a solid path to meet your goals. Therapy is an investment in time, money and emotional energy, and I look forward to joining you in helping to ensure that your investment pays off!

I have never felt pressured by Dr. Mallett. She makes me feel like I can talk with her, and not feel any type of feeling other than being able to get my words off my chest.
She has given me methods to work through my issues, even when I don't think I tell her enough.
Dr Mallett is the first therapist I have ever had that I feel truly listens to me. She offers sound feedback to help me navigate my relationship with my high conflict mother. It’s been a challenge but, I think I am getting better at it.

Dr. Tracy is wonderful. We love her and she is great to talk to! My husband and I both feel that she is great at listening to both parties and not only pinpointing when she feels someone needs to improve on something, but also giving praise when she feels they are doing something well. This approach has helped my husband and I immensely in feeling validated, heard, and respected, and it makes it easier for us to communicate with each other. She has really good insight into things, and her approach is a perfect blend of straightforward and caring.

I would like to give a new review for Dr Tracy Mallett. I was very afraid of therapy in the beginning. And I was reluctant to have a positive attitude. But I'm so glad I've pushed through that, with the help of Dr Tracy.
She is actually a very kind and attentive counselor. She spends a lot of time and energy with her clients. She is direct and brings a lot of knowledge to our talks.
I very much appreciate her and our time together.
After seeing Doctor Mallet's amazing bio,
Me and my partner felt quite taken by her and excited to engage her.
This was amplified by the tremendous amount of effort and attention that she planted on us in order to get us thinking about what we wanted to get out of therapy, as well as to set clear goals for ourselves in our relationship.
Although she is very respectful and quirky, she's also very direct in her manner of speech, something that made her advice carry all the more weight behind it.
I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends and colleagues looking for a relationship counselor, particularly one who is so grounded as person as Doctor Mallet.
Dr. Mallett has been very positive in our interactions and helpful in directing me to solve the problems and issues I've been going through.
Straight forward. I appreciate speaking direct.

I am extremely appreciative of Dr. Mallett and her skills! I’ve struggled in the past with feeling invalidated by previous therapists but, Dr. Mallett truly makes me feel heard and understood.
Thank for all you do, just having a listening person that could give you feedback on a situation and be an outsider looking in and guiding you thru it is appreciated . I wish i could have her there as a refferry when i encounter with others. lol.. Thank you
Dr. Mallett is a very kind, understanding and very knowledgeable counselor. Whenever I reach out to her, she is always willing to listen and guide me through whatever am going through. She has a very flexible schedule and she is always on time for her sessions. I will highly recommend Dr. Mallett to anyone who is serious about counseling. Her education and experience are very impressive and have really helped me so far.
Dr. Mallet offers a lot in terms of communication. It is the key that I want, to be able to see someone is talking back to me, responding to how I feel. I think, I like to feel as though my words are heard, I'm not looking to be understood, but that, what I'm saying is not falling under deaf ears. I understand that I am stubborn, and things take a while to sink in, but the fact I am being heard, makes a huge difference in continuing to interact with her.
Dr. Mallett is an experienced professional with valuable counseling wisdom. I appreciate her guidance and counsel.
Absolutely love her! Beyond thankful for her
My counselor is attentive, listens to me, and provides many different ways of tackling my issues right now. I no longer overwhelmed as I know I have someone who's got my back and understands me. I also do not feel alone as I can share my concerns and emotions with her. Thank you, Dr. Mallett!

Dr. Mallet has been super helpful. She is a good listener and is ready to dive in to whatever I bring to the table. And even sends me helpful articles and thoughts through out the week. I feel like she does a good job at honoring our time together and is fully present. I highly recommend scheduling a session with her!
I am grateful for our time together. She has helped me make connections and realizations that my brain would have fought off. She is teaching me how to stand up for my heart and myself.
I really enjoy working with Dr. Tracy. She is the first therapist I've ever worked with and I was nervous that I may not find a therapist that I feel comfortable with right away - but I couldn't be happier or feel better about finding someone who listens to me and offers the help and understanding she provides. I'm very grateful for her!
Dr. Mallett is the first therapist I’ve felt like I can really open up to and understands the type of feedback I need to be successful. The only thing I would change is I’d like her to respond a little more quickly at times, but I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made with her
I am so grateful to Dr. Mallett. She has been very helpful to me.

I have just recently started seeing Dr. Mallett, only 4 or 5 sessions. She has me invested more than any other therapist I have ever been too. She works around your schedule and with you to find the best time. She learns you and tweaks sessions.
