About Me

I am a Ph.D. and licensed marriage and family therapist in Florida with over 15 years of experience working as a lead clinician in an intensive outpatient behavioral health program, as well as a partial hospitalization program and private practice. I have served a wide range of patients who face challenges in managing mood, ruminations, relationships, and problem solving due to variables such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship conflicts, and life changes. I have also helped many people teens who have experienced trauma and family conflict.

My education encompasses a broad approach to better understanding the psyche, psychology, systemic thinking, and communication. I hold a B.S., in Radio Television and Film from The University of Texas at Austin, a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. By bridging my expertise in systemic thinking, mindfulness, and wellness; I guide clients in exploring new perspectives, develop a healthy relationship to self and others, and discover a mindful approach towards internal self-talk and communication with others.

My therapeutic style is warm and engaging. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, dignity and compassion. My approach combines dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness- based interventions, and a relational lens. I will tailor my treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs for your teen.

It takes courage to seek professional help, especially when it comes to our children. If you are ready to take the first step towards making a significant change in your family dynamic, I am here to support and encourage a more healthy mindset and adaptive behaviors for your teen.

I look forward to working with your child!

Dr. Kalicinski is an amazing counselor. This is the first counselor I have ever been to and she really seems to get me and has really helped me get through what I am going through.
