I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Georgia with several years of experience working with families, couples, individuals and children. I began my career working in Early Childhood education prior to becoming a therapist with experience in parenting education. I have worked with a vast array of clients with a wide range of concerns to include crisis intervention, depression anxiety, parenting skills and psychosis. I have worked in the private setting as well as in an inpatient psychiatric unit to support individuals experiencing mental health crisis. I also have experience with substance abuse and relapse prevention.
I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective. I am a hands-on counselor and believe that everything you need to succeed in life is already within. Sometimes we just need help in finding that light within ourselves. I combine dialogic practices, cognitive behavioral therapy and humanistic approaches to help you get the best out of your counseling experience.
Have you ever asked yourself the question of what do you do when you do not know what else to do? Well, I am here to guide you in finding that answer. Life brings many unexpected twists and turns and finding an outlet through counseling is a way to get back on track when life struggles have caused a detour.
I thank you for the opportunity of allowing me to share some of your life stressors and I look forward to the time we will spend together.

i think she does a good job, confident in answers, and plenty of knowledge in here area of occupation.
Sylvia is awesome. I see a big change in my daughter
I know it’s only been one visit but it’s a visit I appreciate and treasure!
My expectations were met for our session, concerns were heard. I look forward to unpacking my issues.
This was my first experience with any sort of counseling or therapy and I was pleasantly surprised at how meaningful the session was to me. Sylvia asked very insightful questions and helped me see things from another perspective, while still challenging me with things that I can work through to support my own recovery. I enjoyed my session and appreciate Sylvia’s help.
Sylvia is great! She is easy to talk to, a great listener and she offers practical tips that I can use daily!
She is very kind, comforting, and attentive. She makes me feel comfortable and more confident. I appreciate her
Sylvia is an amazing listener - that's what I got from session 1. Although we are still plotting a path forward, I feel heard and like I am talking to a professional.
I appreciate her no miss no fuss attitude. Some people who seek therapy need to be given the hard truth. She is also supportive and constructive. She writes messages, reminds people of appointments... my ONLY complaint is that she is not the most available therapist. But that means she’s well respected and sought out!
