About Me
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and have been working as a therapist since 2012. My experience as a therapist includes working with adults, couples, families, and adolescents in an office setting as well as online. I have worked with adolescents in foster care and in residential facilities over the past 9 years and have assisted clients with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, interpersonal issues, adjustment issues, relationship and parenting issues, crisis, and teen concerns.
In my work with clients, I use some leading psychological modalities, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Strategic, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is tailored to each individual person and believe that each person is unique and I make consistent efforts to meet each client “where they are.”

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Stephanie Piper. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Stephanie has been great!
Stephanie was very helpful in getting my teen "back on track". Since my daughter was an older teen when she started therapy I let them communicate without my involvement. When I checked in with my daughter she was always very pleased with the therapy and advice she was given. I recommend Stephanie for any teen needing to work through issues. She was a great outside support when we needed it.
She is a great sounding board to reel you back in on your hard days and support you on your good ones!
Stephanie always makes me feel heard and accepted! Love her!
Stephanie is direct, kind, and insightful. She has helped tremendously with understanding the trauma I have experienced throughout my life as well as the patterns I created to cope with my trauma. I have recommended Stephanie to several of my friends.
Stephanie is so patient, and understanding. I feel as though I’m able to openly express my thoughts and feelings without judgment. With Stephanie, I feel like therapy is worth it.
I love my therapist
Stephanie helped me get through one of the toughest times in my life by listening and offering her support. She was always available via message and an active participant in our weekly sessions. I felt comfortable telling her about myself with no fear of judgement. I enjoyed the "homework" she gave me which helped push me out of my comfort zone and have difficult - but necessary - discussions with loved ones. Overall I felt like I had a friend who would let me vent and build me up every week, which was greatly needed.
She’s extremely helpful always. She makes therapy feel safe and comfortable. I love her!
Stephanie, in her normal conversational way, made me open up and expose the exact thing that had been holding me back, and I didn’t even know it. Amazing!
I love Stephanie! She helps me so much :)
I love Stephanie! She is super relatable and a great listener. I can tell that she knows what I'm talking about and that she understands me. I am in a place where I need that, so Stephanie is perfect!
