Hello! Thank you for reaching out! My name is Stephanie Hager and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I also have held my National Counselor Certification since 2002. I have 29 years of experience in working with children, teens, and adults in mental health and educational settings. I am a retired Army spouse and have lived in many states coast to coast. I specialize in school-aged children with behavioral issues in the home and school settings, mental health issues (depression, anxiety, addiction and trauma), and life issues (overweight, relationships, changes, decision making, military lifestyle and career issues).
My counseling style is warm and I offer a safe place to talk about difficult issues. I use an eclectic style incorporating humanistic and evidence based modalities including cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution focused and mindfulness-based interventions. I combine healthy lifestyle techniques to improve emotional and physical health by addressing sleep habits, exercise and eating patterns. I also discuss electronic media usage to find a balance between being connected to friends and being connected and present with family. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that addresses your goals and assists you in moving forward in your life.
You have taken the first step in your journey to improve your situation. That takes courage and shows you are committed to making a change in your life. We will work together to clarify issues and develop a plan to meet the goals you have set for yourself. I will always support you and may even challenge you along the way.

We have not had Stephanie for very long, however, she appears to be very professional, knowledgeable and my daughter is opening up to her, which is a very good thing.
I have made so much progress with many aspects of my life thanks to Stephanie. Talking to her comes as naturally as talking to a friend and I am glad to have her as my counselor.
I really enjoy meeting with Stephanie and I appreciate that she provides ways on how to deal with issues and is very understanding.
Stephanie is observant, receptive and caring. She understands both of our perspectives and gets to the root of issues rather than allowing us to focus on disagreements. I feel comfortable being myself and expressing my feelings and being completely honest.
Stephanie was wonderful to work with. She’s fair, balanced, and extremely easy to talk to. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients, and is able to give perspective without judgement. I highly highly recommend her.
Stephanie has made this difficult time less chaotic and has been very helpful.
Stephanie is helping my partner and I work through communication issue. We have only been doing this a few short weeks but so far Stephanie is really helping us out.
She is amazing and very supportive!
Stephanie has been everything I needed and more through the most trying days of my life. She encourages and challenges me. I am very thankful for her, she was a true Godsend:)
She is like a friend away from a friend. Stephanie has made me feel hope again.
