About Me

Do you feel as though no one understands who you are? Are struggling to find your voice? Are you struggling with the adults in your life? Do you feel like you don't fit in? Would it amaze you to know that there are other teenagers in the world who feel the same? Allow me to help you on your journey to finding the answers to these and any other questions you would like to discover the answers to.

I have over twenty years of experience working with teenagers and young adults by assisting them in securing the understanding, insight, and stability desired in order for them to work through the life experiences that brought them to seek therapeutic intervention. I believe that a person’s past influences their present issues and their culture, values, and environment impact their choices and decisions. I assist them by looking at their family of origin, development and coping capacities to implore their rational abilities to obtain an understanding of their experiences in order to change how they view themselves in their world.

I have earned my Masters of Social Services as well as a Masters of Law and Social Policy at Bryn Mawr’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I am dually licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Pennsylvania Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and the New Jersey State Board of Social Work Examiners since 2016.

My clinical experience focuses on academic issues, trauma, child welfare (e.g. adoption/foster care), depression, anxiety, administrative, mental/emotional/behavioral dysfunction, sexual violence, relationship issues, LGBTQ concerns, and other life transitions. I employ utilizing creative approaches to my personal style of therapy that incorporates a variety of different clinical approaches. I am clinically oriented to and incorporate the following treatment modalities into my practice: Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, Psychodynamic, Psycho-Educational, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Behavior Modification, and Solution-Focused interventions.

She is an excellent councilor, listens to what I have to say. Very helpful, I was Leary of trying teen counseling. I had nowhere else to turn. Mrs. Triumph has helped me see some things I didn't really think about. Thank you, for your professionalism.
