About Me

Hello! My name is Stacey and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over four years of experience providing therapy services both online and in person at a private practice. Prior to that, I have worked with individuals and families as a behavioral health intervention specialist and a domestic abuse advocate.

I received my undergraduate and masters degree in Social Work at the University of South Dakota. My approach to therapy is warm, interactive, and client centered. I consider the client/therapist relationship to be one of the most important things in counseling. I aim to assist clients in learning the strategies and coping skills best tailored to their individual situation. I draw my approach from a combination of styles; trauma-focused, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy.

It can be really challenging parenting a teenager and being a teenager: I am here to help and support you. I have several years of experience providing therapy services within a school setting. I have worked in three different high schools, which has given me a great deal of experience helping teenagers manage school related issues such as peer problems, academic struggles, and bullying. I also work with teenagers who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, stress, anger, and/or difficulties managing emotions.

I know how hard it is to find a counselor who you feel a connection with and I would be grateful to work with you through this stage of your life. Having a positive connection with your counselor is important for your therapeutic success.

Thank you !

Stacey is excellent at what she does. Very quick to respond, provides feedback and updates on how my teen is doing.
