About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fl in 2007 and since then have been working in the counseling field. I have over 14 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including community based treatment with a focus on working with teenagers and adolescents. I have years of experience working in addiction treatment with children and adults. My experience working with co-occurring disorders and have years of experience working in the trauma setting to support client's experiencing stress. I have extensive training in EMDR and have experienced tremendous outcomes with this modality used in a clinical setting. I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have experience working with substance abuse sufferers, trauma victims, those families or couples struggling with relationship/ marriage and family issues and inter-familial conflict. Clinically, I also have years of experience working with teens struggling with depression, spectrum disorders, Obsessive behaviors and those teens struggling with anxiety and depression.

My conviction to spiritual process and my belief that there is a greater purpose then the self has encouraged me to continue to provider fellowship, support and volunteering where it's best suited within the community. I know that having mental health issues and life's challenges can be difficult. There is still so much stigma around having mental health issues, the process for getting help can be overwhelming, and it can feel so frustrating when you seek out help and it seems so challenging. I foster the approach of being compassionate, a good listener and a person that's easy to speak to help support the joining trust that I develop with my client's.

Shlomo is truly the most helpful therapist I’ve ever had. He helps me see things from a loving and truthful perspective and I’m actually able to catch myself when I’m not. I am very grateful for our sessions.

Mr. Shlomo is excellent! He genuinely cares, listens well and wisely guides. Mr. Shlomo is very patient, nonjudgmental and persistent even when teens give attitude. Mr. Shlomo has done a phenomenal job with our teens. Our teens have gone from not paying attention to actually looking forward to talking to him, opening up to even wanting his opinion on their college statements! As a physician, truly am impressed with Mr.Shlomo’s compassion, insight, patience and ability to connect. Thank you Mr. Shlomo!

He’s very responsive. He is listening to both my wife and I and trying to help us find a resolution. I feel he cares about his clients, and isn’t just doing it for the money.
