Hello, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in 2012. I have worked with children, teenagers and adults seeking counseling for over 7 years now. I have worked both online and in an office setting. I have worked with clients whom have a wide range of concerns including; school and peer stressors, mood struggles, depression, anxiety, bullying issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, adjustments to life changes, behavioral and attention deficit as well as Trauma.
My counseling style is compassionate, kind and non-judgemental. I believe in treating everyone with empathy, respect, and compassion. And I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. I use a variety of counseling techniques that will be tailored to your needs; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Client-centered, Strengths based, Anxiety reduction, mood management and empowerment techniques . I believe it's best practice to work closely with the client and parent/guardian while also respecting the privacy of all parties involved, especially the young client.
The teenage years can be very difficult and I am here to help support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

She’s very knowledgeable and allows me to get to the answers I have questions to, alone. She helps me to critical think and really analyze my situations that I have difficulty with.
Very professional, respectful, and I appreciate her dedication.
Sherri is a very helpful therapist. My daughter really likes her and she has help her a lot.
Sherri knows when to say with the right words and most of all how to just let me talk and not push. Just experiencing a tough loss and she knows just when to ask questions and just let me say what I need.
Sherri is amazing. She’s really helped me process my anxiety and explain why my anxiety happens during certain situations. I can tell she cares very much for her patients.
Sherri is fantastic! She truly makes you feel heard and understood. It’s great to have someone to talk to and who also wants you to understand your emotions and help you work on yourself. This is my first experience with therapy and I highly recommend BetteHelp and Sherri.
Sherri is compassionate, listens well and helps with coping strategies for these difficult times. Highly recommend her!

I haven’t known Sherri very long but she is already a fantastic counselor. I feel very safe and comfortable talking to her and I am confident that she can help me reach my therapy goals.
