About me

Raising children is hard, and not everything is in a book. I have not only talked the talk, but I have walked the walk and raised a family while balancing a career, and furthering my education. I believe that it truly takes a village, and lots of patience, understanding, humor and flexibility. My professional background is a BA in Psychology, and MSW, and a Principal of Leadership as an Assistant/Principal role. My professional experience has been in the juvenile court system, protective services, sexual abuse education, and day to day public school as a school counselor. Throughout the pandemic, I have helped children and family's to overcome their fears, anxieties, and to find a new normal to function on a day to day basis. I have worked in person, remotely and by phone. I attend ongoing training to be up to date on the current diagnoses, trends, and needs of the community to be able to partner with families and service providers to assist their children to reconnect and engage within their communities.

Best therapist ever - smart, funny and a great experience. Very wise and helpful. Don’t want any other therapist going forward. Thank you

My daughter can’t say enough good things about Sharlene! She made her feel instantly comfortable to open up and talk in just a few sessions . She’s flexible and always willing to find time to chat. I feel so lucky that we found her!

Work with me!
