I consider my therapy style more laid back as I would like to help you develop coping skills and strengths to improve whatever issues you are currently dealing with. I utilize various therapy modalities to include cognitive behavior therapy, person centered therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and solution focused therapy modalities. I specialize in working with the homeless population, families, children, and teenagers.
Children and teenagers go through a lot when dealing with bullying, online learning, and trying to find themselves. As some kids get older they do not feel they can connect to their parents or other adults around them. I build rapport with everyone to learn about them and what makes them unique. Not many people can relate to children and teenagers in this world of technology and lack of motivation through this pandemic. I build rapport and provide a sense of well-being when dealing with an array of personal issues. As hesitant as they are with wanting to talk to anyone; it is important for them to talk to someone other than a parent or guardian as they feel like no one can relate to them.
