About Me
Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with 6 years of clinical experience. I have worked with children, adults, families, and couples in various treatment settings. I am open to working with both men and women, young, middle age and older adults, and people of all gender, race, and sexual orientations. My areas of specialization and interest include juvenile justice, parent-child relationship challenges, managing anxiety and depression, life transitions, family stressors, self-worth, and trauma.
My counseling style is warm and approachable. I believe in treating everyone with integrity and compassion. My therapeutic background includes but is not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, mindfulness and empowerment, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma informed practices. I am trained in trust based relational interventions (TBRI) and I am a nationally certified Functional Family Therapist (FFT).
I will meet you where you are at on your journey and use your natural strengths to guide your therapeutic process. There will be times of discomfort, joy, sadness, excitement, setbacks, breakthroughs, and everything in between- this is where growth happens. And I truly believe each person is capable of success- whatever that may look like for you.
I would be honored to encourage and support you along the way!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sara Simpson. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
She is an excellent therapist!
Mrs. Simpson has helped me to be happy, commit, and to deal with anger and I am happy for the next person she helps
Sara is fantastic! She genuinely cares and listens to your needs. Sara keeps track of your progress and is good at asking the right questions to get to the root of the issues. She helped me to work through some serious childhood traumas I didn't know how to heal from on my own. Alongside Sara's advice from the sessions, I did the work on my end and have been able to graduate from therapy now. Therapy isn't a forever thing and Sara gave me the tools to overcome my past successfully. I feel more myself finally after 2 years of a rollercoaster of not feeling myself. I highly recommend Sara to anyone! 10/10
